    They have to set their stall to bat the remaining 20 overs or so.

    If they do that the runs will come. Nothing silly.

    Odds firmly with South Africa though.

    Only Finn, Bairstow and Prior can hold their heads high really after the Series. Strauss looked awful throughout, Cook struggled as did Trott, Bell was ok, Taylor looked out of his depth. Broad was awful in 2 tests, still a decent player. Anderson didn't do enough with the new ball either. Got to improve

    The main batsmen left the rest too much to do.

    Once the target exceeded 300 it was always going to be difficult anyway even if everyone batted well.

    Agree with most of that, but think a little harsh on Taylor. At Headingly he definitely looked the part/

    What a great afternoon. We never had a prayer tbh & a great effort to get that close.

    If Pietersen had behaved who knows ?

    Taylor scored 10 & 4. Average 7. We lost by 51 runs.
