another centre half? Now don't get me wrong he's an exceptional talent but that's it. No real first team football and none in the Championship. Not what we need at the moment. We need old heads.
He is/was courting this year's X Factor winner Miss Johnson ? ... so he knows a bit about pulling the pretty ladies .. Like a few on here I saw him on TV early in the season and he was pretty mature and skilled and committed .. problem is a lot of young loanees are sent out virtually against their will and can sulk a bit and feel abandoned by their real love club .. IF IF he is committed and wants to be here (that's even if he comes here), he will be a VERY good addition .. now we have three days to find another striker, I am not gonna hold my breath
He's only just 17. He may be brilliant, but another kid to play alongside our own?
My first thought exactly, however after a bit of a read up on him, he appears to be different gravy, so if he's good enough, he's old enough.....hopefully.
Not sure how I feel about this. Certainly a talent and will have played with Poyet on many occasions in the reserves. However he is 17 and we have enough of those ourselves.
West Ham fan at work said he was class against Arsenal, defensive midfielder, good move yes, but is he what we need at this stage, No. We need players who can score, or create. Maybe we are going for a run of 0-0 results with our new formation of 5-5-0
Certainly supposed to be a great talent but my understanding is that he's a player who can shield the defence. So with him, Poyet and Diarra we're certainly stocked there. Short term. Pointlessly.
Or alternatively we're bringing him in to play centre half to add competition to Bauer, Sarr, Williams, Johnson, Teixeira, Lennon and Diarra. OK, Bauer is injured and Williams will likely (hopefully) be heading back to Boro shortly but that's still a well-stocked cupboard.
Either way this would indicate that we're already giving up on one or all of Williams, Johnson and Poyet, which is insane considering we've just signed them. If you said we were going to have three holding midfielders and five centre halves available at the end of August then I'd say great, we've finally put a big enough squad together, but what we need right now is immediate impact from attacking players, not a squad padded out for the short term. Why do we always do things backwards?
On the other hand though, if we subsequently bring in a winger, a striker and a creative midfielder as well then I've got no problem with Oxford just sort of being there. Maybe he's great, maybe he consigns Naby Sarr to the reserves where he belongs. Maybe Oxford and Teixeira will be our Gomez and Ben Haim of last season. But if the signings of five defensive players, who can't all play at the same time, is held up as an example of us 'strengthening' when the window closes then it'll be classic us. And we'll go down.

I know little about him other than media was raving about him after they beat Arsenal.
If he is the creative midfielder then good.
Will have to wait and see if he's as good as some hammers think and if he's up for a relegation fight.
As ever when it's on the OS.
Thing is the kid is a great talent, would have been delighted at the start of the season.
But I feel chucking in a 17 year old in a relegation battle is not what we need right now, but again ill take him over Ba.

DickieDickhead !!On the whole I am more positive than negative
Unless Williams is going back to Middlesbrough as that loan will have ended today
Diarra must be proper crocked then, unless he is going back in defence.
