I don't know what happened behind the scenes but I suspect he had a lot to say about the shite the club was being put through with constant clown like managerial appointments.
He probably sees it the same way as us fans and reacted emotionally. If that's the case then I wouldn't have him down as a twat. In fact I hold him in higher regard than the other mercenaries we have in the squad who couldn't give a toss about Charlton.21 -

Will say though that Strachan is bang on with his comment that it's up to Tony how far he goes. There is no doubting his talent just his attitude that's the problem.3 -

Came on as sub for Blackburn on Saturday. Within a minute had been fouled while going forward.
Took the free kick, straight onto a team-mates head.
Goal.
Problems with CAFC at the moment:
We don't play the ball forward.
We don't win enough attacking free kicks.
We don't send attacking free-kicks into the danger zone.
We can't win a header.
We don't score goals.
We got rid of him and use Mak/Reza as our main attack.

Lack of fitness = Laziness outside of playing time.
Problem is, if he's not fit he still gets played otherwise it's a wasted investment.
We have all seen him put a shift in, he's just not a 90 minute man.

I don't doubt this to be true. With that said I'd rather 5 minutes of Tony than 90 minutes of any other piss-poor striker we have on our books.9 -

Our other issue are the players who don't have his talent...and still don't put the effort in to compensate for that...and those that do have the talent, but don't seem to be arsed, even though obviously fit. A perfect storm!0 -
