We really are screwed arn't we.

    This.
I would say this has now become a 'pissing the fans off at all cost'exercise .

I honestly have a feeling I may never be back. They seem intent on burning the club to the ground.

Until they go, yep. They don't have a clue how to turn it around and even if they did they have completely alienated the fanbase to the point of no return.

    Really?

I can categorically state that this isn't true. It is by no means close but to deny it is a flat out lie.

Well and truly. Yet still there are sympathisers that refuse to believe it.

Re Solly, why could she not have said,

"Yes, we need to be honest with fans - I'll admit we did have some discussions with Gillingham. Chris did not want to move. We are now committed to working out a new long-term deal for him at CAFC as he epitomises the spirit of this club. We hope he will be a valuable member of the squad and the team for many years to come."

She might have regained a smidgen of respect.

KM: It was drafted by the senior management team and Mr Duchatalet had his input.

That bit made me chuckle. I do expect better from people who should know better than me.
  • 7. Plans for next Season/Season tickets
CL: Will the club be embarking on the same recruitment strategy or is owner prepared to change? If he
carries on, one thing will happen.
KM: We will learn from mistakes

KM: Yes, finances don't look pretty in League 1. But obviously Mr. Duchatelet seeks success on the pitch,
the idea that he doesn’t, makes no sense.

    Lol full of gems this

i would have thought that the fact that a crisi communications specialist was coordinating the club responses to emails, and that an FA crowd control specialist was required are fairly precise indicators that communication with the club has broken down.

Is this insinuating Roland wrote it because I'm certain he did not.

Hey @Dazzler21 what makes you certain it was not written by him? As other posters have said, there's good evidence that it was, so it would be interesting to know why you suggest he didn't. Do you have some inside knowledge to spill?
I am certain it was written by Meire, probably with Roland's approval. It reads exactly as she speaks.
I do not think he would be going over and over the 'weird' point.
    It's all a bit weird.

It was drafted by the senior management team and Mr Duchatalet had his input.

Likewise, never has a mock funeral felt so much like the real thing. Yet another sad day for Charlton.

    Re:
    2. Matters Arising from previous meetings:
The last meeting was videoed but this one will not be.
KM: Last time was a one off as not everyone felt comfortable and more importantly, we realized that
not everyone has the time to sit through a video of 1h30, so minutes are probably the better option.

And there's me thinking the real reason is, she didn't want another cringeworthy performance available to be viewed online. How thoughtful of her thinking I may not have 1h30 free time to watch it. 1h30 is nothing compared to the time I have wasted coming to Charlton since Roland took over.

As if anyone was in any doubt, as the poster Dreke warned us, Roland and his cronies will lie bare faced to supporters. There seems to be no change in this strategy.
Of course, it is a huge sign of weakness and attempted subterfuge. The worrying thing is how transparently obvious the falsehoods are, and yet they seem not to care about that or see how flimsy their misdirections are. I think it is more they simply do not care.
There is really no more point in talking to them any further. You cannot negotiate with people like this, the only way they will start any meaningful dialogue is when they have no choice but to participate properly.
We have to dig ourselves in for next season and try to get these utter fuckpots out of Charlton Athletic by whatever means possible.

I agree, again this is another political answer from KM. Quite clearly they now believe in non disclosure and providing limited information, which is not good for creating a good long term relationship with the fans.

    Typical nonsense

Video - KM says a one off, not what you stated (on video) at the meetings in November and January

Staff Leaving due to relegation - Complete rubbish in Mel Baroni case, she left after we had just got 7 points out of 9 so if it was due to relegation it would have happened sooner. Nowt of course to do with the statement

RD Meeting Fans Forum and Targe 20k - KM and TK not aware where statement came from about him meeting them, it was from your supporters relations teams you idiots

Trust Meeting - Nice to see the 3rd person they met from the trust was valued and did not bother with names

Season Tickets - Mandy says under 11 and lower North most popular. They are the cheapest, don't you see the connection?
  • You can't trust anything that comes out of KM's mouth.

I bet she has to get somebody else to whistle her dog.

Thought it was interesting that they are going to employ an individual to watch a small number of problem fans next year.

It was in the away coach section but could this be a broader initiative?

I'm still in therapy about it. I wouldn't mind but I sent the agenda over that morning with a list of our names, so they had mine twice..... I'm not bitter though and clearly have made a big impact on them ;-)

Meire reminds me of the lyrics to a Rod Stewart song Reason To Believe.

If I listened long enough to you
I'd find a way to believe that it's all true
Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried
Still I look to find a reason to believe

Perhaps the covered end choir could sing this Chorus at the Burnley game.

I don't usually comment on matters like these, I'd only be repeating what others have said before me but I cannot believe the drivel the SMT spout. They seem to have lost any capacity of rational thought and the apparent lack awareness of the situation they now find themselves in is beyond belief!!

They must know something we don't know to be able to make false statements like these and then carry on in the same vain, because anyone with half a brain would have some kind of self awareness that what they say is complete nonsense.

They are two vastly unrelated things. In my experience, free coach travel always attracts people who misbehave. This is compounded if you have large numbers travelling because you have to use inexperienced volunteer stewards who don't have the relationships with the passengers as a whole to manage the problem. To be honest, it's not easy to solve because you can't put a security team on each coach. Generally speaking there is very little problem with regular travellers. If you don't have free travel there isn't a significant problem to address.

I'm told Keohane has installed his own cameras at The Valley so he can monitor individuals himself. Good luck with that.

I'd imagine it's very unlikely that the club will find a volunteer to buy and manage the finances of train travel in the way that Syd has, by the way. The club withdrew from this originally because the organiser is held responsible by the train companies for the behaviour of the train ticket holders, which was impossible for the club to manage.
