Seems there's deep rooted problems on the player front. No s*** Sherlock!
I'm happy in a way, as I want these out asap, but can't do until summer. Players need to take responsibility. Not all, but fair share. The details are their faults, like not listening to tactical instructions for starters, lack of discipline.
On the other hand, don't see how it's going to improve morale.
Rock and hard place...5 -
Right. So who in tonight's line up (which he selected) has dodged bullets for so long? Most of them have only been here five minutes, or are fresh from the U23s.
I'm all for banging home a few truths but he's just clumsily alienated tonight's team before hurriedly praising Holmes, Novak, and Jacko. Talk about losing the players!
This sounded far more like self preservation, passing the buck. Excruciating. Impossible though it is to manage under RD, he's now making a fool of himself. Just what are these mysterious goings on that he's so desperate to tell us about. Come on, spill the beans. Why can't you make these wonderful changes that would save our season? Oh, I know.....13 -
Okay....interesting....next manager please.
He's definitely under the strain and I really wouldn't be surprised if he was put under more pressure before the game in front of the players.
Only a matter of time now before Congo Chris LOL has a go.2 -
Phil Parry playing the role of therapist there. Even tries to warn him when he say maybe he will think differently in the cold light of day.
Who are these players who have been "dodging a bullet" for so long? Apart from Jacko, none of them have been here more than a year, save for Watt more or less, or are kids.
Disgraceful.26 -
He's screwed and he knows it. Just getting his excuses in early.5

Had him pinned as a Scouse Pardew from his first interview, nothing has happened since to change my opinion on that. He even picks team like Pardew used to when he finally totally lost it. Just floundering around sticking more and more forwards on the pitch hoping that, somehow, one of them might score a goal, never demonstrating an understanding of how to control a game through tactics.LenGlover said:Just like Pardew everyone else is to blame.
Compare and contrast with Curbs who always said the buck stopped with him.
Every change is the right one isn't it Kat?
However, I still maintain, that the constant flux of managers and players has been the single biggest problem for this club over the last 3 years. At some point, we need to settle down and give manager and his players 2 maybe even 3 or 4 seasons to just chip away at our flaws and see if they can't finally, however slowly, turn this juggernaut around.
It needs to be the right man though and however hard I try to think rationally about it, I just can't convince myself that Robinson is the right man. Slade I actually thought might be, but Robinson no.
The real trouble remains the ownership though, because until we have an owner willing to back the manager properly (or at least as best they can within their/the club's resources) and genuinely allow them to just get on with their job, with minimal interference, whoever comes in will be doomed to fall short of what we as fans expect.

He mentioned Champions League, so he's likely referring to Tex & Watt & possibly Botaka.
It can't be Rudd or he'd play Phillips.
I doubt it's Byrne.
It can't be Konsa, Jackson, Holmes, Aribo & Novak, as he praised the older 3.
He also bemoaned not having Pearce, Solly, Lennon & Bauer.
So it must be Watt & Tex and a question mark over Botaka and Magennis.5 -
A chancer of a man that couldn't manage his way out of a paper bag.
But WE all knew that before the tin pot pricks that run this club took him on.3 -
Just another bitter
exemployee!6 -
Maybe a couple of the players called him on his bullshit pre match3

Did I hear him say he's going to get out of contract players to play? I was confident of a boring mid table finish but after listening to that we could be staring at the abyss.0
-
If players aren't fighting for the club, don't pick 'em. Simples.
Otherwise keep your trap shut as the dressing room must be looking at each other wondering 'is he talking about me or him'.

P45 for Karl and I reckon he knows it!3
-
Wasn't it just a week ago he was praising them as honest and hard working. Total bullshit from him and all the management. Richard Murry ffs stand up and be counted to these morons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
-
Hahahaha turn it in you tosser. All this coming from a bloke who has won 5 games at 2 clubs all season.
Clueless chancer who's lost the dressing room in the space of 3 months.
Just stop talking, I've never heard somone utter so many words and say so little...25 -
Nobody in that starting XI bar Jackson and Teixeira were even in the side last season. Fair to assume he is digging out Tex, but anyone else who is a problem is this season's mistake - nothing to do with previous managers losing their jobs. Bullshit piled on bullshit.Paddy7 said:Right. I've been a supporter of Robinson and his enthusiasm but listening to that; yeah he's lost it.cabbles said:
What the fuck is he on about - he lauded his jan signings and is now moaning that 'he can't do what he wants to do' and suggests the squad ain't good enough.
Bizarre and very worrying interview.5 -
Sounds to me that some of the players, probably the more senior ones, have seen through his bullshit, are fed up with him trying to swerve the responsibility after every poor result and are either ignoring him or openly taking the piss. His credibility in the dressing room is shot to pieces. Right from the off, particularly the Peterborough game, he has been tactically inept. It doesn't take long for a group of players to decide a manager ain't up to it. There's no way back for him after the latest comments, the players won't have that. Even Ranieri & Mouriniho couldn't survive dressing room mutinies and they are top managers.
Congo Chris is also part of this set up and may well get the same treatment from these players, if they think he is also a fraud. So it could be futile putting him in. Will the dopey owners recognise that? of course they won't and panic will set it, if we drop into the bottom four.43 -

Can't fault your analysis, but Magennis??? As someone else said a while back, he was our one shining light. He scored a hat trick a few weeks back too.Covered End said:He mentioned Champions League, so he's likely referring to Tex & Watt & possibly Botaka.

As for Tex, well, looking back over the season, what message has his employer given him about how wanted, how valued he is, in this English Third Division club? Players are human too. If we were a top half Champ team pushing for the play offs, we 'd see a good player there, I am damn sure.
Watt. Well yes. And why do we have him? Because that fucking idiot paid money to bring him into his network, and nobody else wants him, even after extensive free trials.
Roland Out. See you in Belgium.

Murray's shown his colours and is standing by them. Detest the man and he's as bad as the Belgians. 'Some things happened before this game that I've never seen at a football club'
As manager wouldn't he be in control of what happens before a game.0 -
Murray is number one apologist for them.CheshireAddick said:Wasn't it just a week ago he was praising them as honest and hard working. Total bullshit from him and all the management. Richard Murry ffs stand up and be counted to these morons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tex must be kicking himself that he turned down New York FC for this....

Bye bye Karl.1
-
Listen to the utter dismay and frustration in his voice. He's been hung out to dry, I don't like him, don't rate him and he knew what he was letting himself in for when he flew in all clichés blowing in the wind and set off on his welcoming media tour.
I can lay money what happened in his meeting with the slag. She's said a load of old waffle about wanting to build bridges with the fans, wanting to go up, cos ya know, we've built such a balanced, strong squad. So I'll be expecting you to take some of the heat off me
Karl Robinson, in desperate need of a job (I don't begrudge him or any of the others this) has played right up. Looked her in the eye and made a load of promises, she's told him Lookman will be sold, cos ya know, he's a future star of the premier league, and that's all real football fans want. Is to be a FUCKING FOOTBALLING LIVESTOCK FARM. There won't be any money from the Lookman deal because, you know, Rolarse has already wanked a ton of it up the wall on half arsed, half-complete nonsense like undersoil heating that doesn't fucking work, so you know, he needs to at least try and stick to this moronic, sociopathic experiment he's ruining clubs around Europe with and to prove a point that football fans can be treated with enormous contempt and the deranged idiots they are will swallow it.
So you'll be taking the shit for me Karl, amd you'll be earning less than a disgusting salesman at fucking Foxton's.
If I didn't have this view I still wouldn't have sympathy for him. Nobody held a knife to his throat.
You know who we should bring in. Mike Newell, a man who spoke honestly about bent incompetent owbership in football and the poor cunt hasn't worked since.26 -
Murray!CheshireAddick said:Wasn't it just a week ago he was praising them as honest and hard working. Total bullshit from him and all the management. Richard Murry ffs stand up and be counted to these morons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good god no.
He's been well and truly put out to pasture and his brain long since turned to mush.
You'll normally find him at the back of the corporate canteen blowing snot bubbles or singing 'o'Danny boy' with a pair of y-fronts on his head.4 -
I'm not listening to that. He's so full of shit. He's tactically inept and has been found out.3
-
I fully expect him to be sacked by morning, You cant have an outburst like that. What players are going to play for him now till the end of the season after the shit he just spouted. We are royally screwed.4
