    I agree - a very good manager, although I was told by a Wednesday supporting mate that they may be in hot water over a breach of the FFP rules. Whether that translates into a damaging points deduction remains to be seen

    Not sure how he’ll play with Taylor? Perhaps people who’ve seen more of Taylor this season will know but they look like v similar players.

    A smart owner could pay a million per year to Bowyer and still have value. If gets us promoted with no budget and keeps us up with no budget, he is essentially saving the owner millions per year. We are literally stuck with an owner who has no idea what the word "investment" means.
    I am not saying Roland SHOULD offer a mil, but to think Bowyer is not worth £10k per week at minimum given the millions in economic value he creates is ludicrous. One can make a case he is worth far, far more than that.

    I’m not so sure. Taylor likes to pull wide and whip a cross in and looks like if Eaves is in his game the big lad could be on the end of it.

    not sure how much he’ll create for Taylor as have t seen enough of him but he looks like he can pass. 

    Personally would be be pleased to ha e them both playing together although who gets no 9 could be tricky

    I've had enough of everything turning into a pun. 

    We finally have something positive to cheer about and a summer of excitement to look forward to but every time someone says something good might happen it gets flippantly disregarded and turned into a pun.

    After all Lee and the boys achieved this year, to be honest, it feels like a huge smack in the Facia.

    Taylor and Eaves are nothing alike as players. I love Taylor but it would be nice for a striker to take it down from a goal kick for once, Taylor is always bending over looking for the foul, Parker was chesting it down at Wembley but rarely played someone in, with Eaves Taylor may not be isolated as much in that way. Good thing about Lyle is if we do get Eaves, Lyle is a very selfless player and can drift out wide and make the runs. I don't know how many goals the pair would get in the champ but I am confident they would get at least 45 between them in league 1 so we can hope they can at least get 25/30 at the level above

    I am hoping Eaves is the equivalent of someone like Chris Iwelumo..... gets his chance by moving up a league to the champ and then like Big Chris did settles in to becoming a solid second tier striker

    Having wrongly thought today was Thursday and ailed to tell my ex the lads after school club was cancelled so he ended up at the bus stop waiting to be collected while collector was 45 minutes away at his school (fortunately a friend picked him up), tomorrow is Thursday.

    Here’s hoping for a bumper Thursday announcement tomorrow of Lee, Jacko and a player or two signing (ok my judgement is not very sound see above)

    This. If Bowyer was back at work today / yesterday then his contract should have been on the table to be signed and announced already.

    The longer this drags on the longer we have to put up with speculation around his future.

    Personally I see Eaves as back up to Taylor, I think a pacey number 9 type should be along aside Taylor.  Obviously that’s in an ideal world, which we are pretty far from.
