By the time we ever get back to the premier League the £7m will be largely insignificant given the ever increasing prize money. Really don't see how it's an issue.
The other joke is that maybe RDs valuation wouldn't be as insane if we actually had some playing assets. Especially now in the championship given some of the transfer fees that are being paid.0 -
Something odd going on here.
2 very decent signings last week. Purrington for cash and possibly one other today.
If a takeover was close I would have thought a kind of self serving embargo would have been installed by Roland until it's done. Add that to the fact he hates our guts. I can see no reason for him to do anything that would aid us next season.
Has Roland got some sort of focus on next season? He's clearly not interested in giving us away.2 -
If Dalman really has walked how comes Cardiff City haven't put out a statement yet?

Takes a lot longer than hour fifteen to walk from Charlton to Cardiff mate ffs3

club directors — technically termed ‘debenture shareholders’ — who are owed a total of £7m should the club reach the Premier League.
It is believed several of these individuals want payment to settle the debts now.
Is this right?
I always thought it was no Biggie for the former directors?
Or is one of them digging their heels in where one potential group is concerned and not the other group?

They can’t demand payment until the club reaches the PL5

I read that as, if you want me to settle the debt now, I want paying thanks.
or I’m happy to keep the debt there indefinitely and get paid in full later if and when we reach the premiership like I signed up to Ta.3 -

It's being made to sound like the ex directors are holding things up individually.0 -

As far as I know, Dalman hasn't even spoken to the three ex-directors supposedly causing a problem. Why should he? It's not his issue, it's RD's.3 -

Long may it continue

Has the possibility occured to anyone that Roland doesn't actually own the club at all and it's this tiny legal detail that's holding up everything .

Keep ‘em peeled at The Valley and training ground, as there might be some Chinese visitors apparently.I find it hard to believe someone as well connected or wealthy as Dalman couldn't find the funds. Not saying you are lying James btw. I trust what you say just my opinion.
I'd be amazed if he didn't have the 33m quoted.0 -
I refuse to believe that the directors loans are stopping the sale of the club from going through.
The loans only total 7mil.and they don't need to be repayed until we reach the premiership.
I am convinced that something else is causing this delay.
Almost certainly Shitweasel at fault14 -

This year, we will have lowest wage bill in The Championship and this makes us very likely relegation fodder. If not this year then very soon. They are apples and oranges. All the data shows that if you spend less than the league average wage bill in your division, the odds of relegation go up and up. We will be 1/3 the average wage bill in The Championship, dead last. Roland being a low spender last year was foolish. But this year it will be incompetent.
Finally, the wages in this division are not “inflated.” They are what they are. Roland is trying to break even financially and this had been openly stated. To attempt to break even in football is never a good idea unless you are the top 6 clubs in the world. But to try to break even in the Championship, and taking the extra £6-7M in turnover this season and putting it all in his pocket and letting all our best players go is a one way ticket back to League One.14 -
