I heard from a Hammers mate some weeks ago we were getting one of their talented youngsters on loan or maybe perm.0

Both on tour with WHU in Switzerland.Starinnaddick said:A friend of mine who works in the WHU youth set up told me that we have asked about Josh Cullen and Reece Oxford but it is unlikely to happen as they need more home grown players in their 25. Apparently there is a minimum they must have.
No decision from WHU until end of this month.0 -
Reece Oxford has been on loan in the bundesliga twice, surely they would want to loan him to a better side than one who will likely be Championship bottom 6.1

Thought there was rumour of him coming to us not MillwallChris_from_Sidcup said:Reece Oxford has been on loan in the bundesliga twice, surely they would want to loan him to a better side than one who will likely be Championship bottom 6.3 -
You run the risk of them not playing though. Unless you are a "top prospect" thinking last season Tammy Abraham level, you run the risk of not playing. If a "big" club is the manager going to put much effort in developing someone else's prospect at the risk of loosing his job?Chris_from_Sidcup said:Reece Oxford has been on loan in the bundesliga twice, surely they would want to loan him to a better side than one who will likely be Championship bottom 6.
Our premier league loans will have to play practically every game they are available because even if they are bit crap they better than the no one else we currently have.1 -
We might be after him but it doesn’t mean we’l get him.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Reece Oxford has been on loan in the bundesliga twice, surely they would want to loan him to a better side than one who will likely be Championship bottom 6.
Doesn’t look like he played much during those loans, so he probably needs to drop down to a level where he’ll play regularly.0 -
Bowyer says looking for one or two this week.

We're not close to a deal with Williams though0

Bowyer not on Instagram!?!?
Stunning revelation.0 -
It's almost as if a Lyle Taylor Instagram clip isn't 200% proof of Jonny Williams signing.

Really liked to see another through the door ASAP0

This. He is still training with us so why wouldnt he have a peg in the changing room. Weird how some people piss their pants when all that happened is a coatpeg was revealed.DamoNorthStand said:
No it doesnt. It just means that over the summer the coat hook photos were left as they were, and when Williams rocked up for training he just left his stuff where he had been leaving it last time he was at Sparrows Lane.paulie8290 said:For those saying its just a pboto and could have been left up from last season.
If you have instagram and see the full post you will see he moves a coat from a hook and his photo is underneath, he moves another coat from a hook amd u see Williams picture, looks like the players have pictures up by where their stuff goes and to me with Williams having his up, that tells me he is signing
As I said a few days ago. Also no JW at PVR today. Taylor was winding you lot up0 -
i don't think i actually said it is a good thing but was trying to state that there is an up side to it - of course losing aribo isn't good but if we do get cullen, bielek and williams back it starts to look different. We have managed to free up some space to replace the likes of marshall, reeves and fosu, who weren't featuring, and if we replace them with 3 quality additions then we will be looking ok. We got relegated with Bauer at centre half don't forget although i would have liked to have kept him as aerially he was our best centre half.Stu_of_Kunming said:
Doucher said our current situation is a good thing, I'd call that mindless optimism.ForeverAddickted said:
What mindless optimism?ShootersHillGuru said:
No. But I’ll point out mindless optimism when I see it.East_Stand_Loopy said:It's really great that so many of our players have been written off by our "supporters".
Shall we all boo them as soon as they come out of the tunnel?
Dont think anyone on here thinks that the Championship will be a walk in the park, think most of us know its going to be tough
But whats the alternative, announce bloody relegation now and save the 46-games before its officially announced?
Seem to remember very few people thinking that we'd even finish top six let alone top three last season (I was one of them), a lot thought we'd be relegated but look at where we are now
Is it optimism or just hope that drives a lot of people when they support this club0 -
I think we can say we won’t get all three of Cullen, Bielik and Williams back. In all probability, none of them.2

there you go peeps - lee bowyer not panicking either!!!!clive said:1 -

Yeah, what's does anyone expect him to say ?ForeverAddickted said:
If we don't get a few decent players in sharpish, we're as good as relegated before the season kicks off ?3 -
Interesting Bowyer’s now saying 5 loans rather than the 4 he said the other day.clive said:1 -
He says 5 loans and 2-3 permanent, and he wants the permanent sorted out before the loans3
