My optimism flew out the window a few days' after Wembley when it became clear the Helmet had no intention of selling the 'cloob'.0 -
Sky just jumping on the bandwagon.@Redhenry please come and calm everyone down. TBH even I am now starting to get jittery0

Well Brentford have just got £20m for Neal Maupay....so they have the money.DanDavis said:Exactly what Gary said, £15mill and we will talk. Selling players is one thing, just rolling over at the slightest hint of interest is madness.

Protests here don't touch him so what do you think will? I'm not saying do nothing I'm just genuinely at a loss as to what an effective strategy is.Greenie said:
That’s the spirit.....Or you could do nothing and just bend over take it up the Gary!hoof_it_up_to_benty said:
Tired of this deluded argument. RD is a f***ing billionaire who couldn't give a stuff about boycotts etc - that much is evident by now. If he cared about money he would have sold by now.Melrose said:
How can anyone who loves the club keep a sensible head on at this moment of time. We have an owner who is trying to destroy the club. Why the fuck people bought season tickets (10,000 +) i'll never know. DO NOT PUT ANOTHER PENNY THIS MAN'S WAY. Also those who support valley gold, STOP. If Taylor is sold, I think there will be real trouble, and in my opinion, it's about time. Fuck plastic pigs and ping pong balls etcCafcCrazy said:
Should be a flag button for sensible posts like this in the midst of a meltdown.AFKABartram said:Take a deep breath everyone.
We are in fear escalation mode.
We have similar in the run up to pretty much every window deadline of a major sale and in the last few at least it has never materialised.
I forsee a load of comings and goings over the next couple of days.
We really should keep your council till Thursday evening and see how the overall picture looks then.
Nobody knows how to remove him do they?
Does anyone understand him?0 -
Roland's head needs to be put on a spike. Old yellow toothed Cnut!!1
-
If a deal is done with Brentford, Duchatelet will doubtless be driving a hard bargain by insisting upon for more cash up front in return for a lower transfer fee - i.e. our normal T&Cs apply.1

A sniper rifle?hoof_it_up_to_benty said:
Serious question - short of somebody paying stupid money for the club what would make RD go?Greenie said:
Do both, let’s face it if Taylor goes we are down, pitch protests for publicity, Belgian protests to hurt the spiteful bastard.Oggy Red said:
Pitch invasion at The Valley?BR7_addick said:The fact that Taylor is approaching 30 is the only reason he hasn’t been sold yet, this is how it all starts, rumours today, concrete evidence tomorrow, medical Thursday you watch.
Then a large scale pitch invasion at every home game until that cancerous prick fucks off needs to take place.
Duchatelet would laugh at it. Then use it against us in the media.
Otherwise it wouldn't touch him. Any protest would have to happen in Belgium or through their media to have any effect.
It's his reputation that he cares about.
You can't physically remove him.1 -
It's like a bush fire.
Once your known as a feeder club to other Championship clubs and Rangers, it's tough to quell.
Let's see the outcome before the re-inactment of D-Day takes place.0 -
Bad news all round. If Taylor goes it will be a disaster. If he stays the club will feed us some crap about how well they have done to keep hold of him and only lose AD.1
-
The only way RD can possibly even think of selling Taylor is if it's for 10m and he then knocks the 10m off the asking price and sells us next week.
Because if Taylor goes, we are as good as relegated and we'll be worth about 12m next year in league one without a team and Bowyer.0 -

Can't believe that even RD would sell him now. I've heard nothing about it btw18

Thinking Roland will quote 15 mill is a moot point, he’ll quote some ridiculously low number which they will then meet.ValleyGary said:
The difference being that Brentford will likely take their interest somewhere else for £15mMrkinski said:
15 mil or 15p - no difference. The money will not go back into the squad.DanDavis said:Exactly what Gary said, £15mill and we will talk. Selling players is one thing, just rolling over at the slightest hint of interest is madness.0 -
And £12m for Konsa (no sell on clause for us).cafc-west said:

Remember, as Matt Wright points out on twitter, that is was only a few weeks ago that Bowyer was suggesting that Brentford was a good club to move to.0

We’ll never get £10m for LT all the while Yellow tooth is about. At the end of the day, its now all about the bottom line, reducing the overheads and ultimately what Thomas Driesden thinks the value of the player is. We’re doomed ...Chris_from_Sidcup said:The only way RD can possibly even think of selling Taylor is if it's for 10m and he then knocks the 10m off the asking price and sells us next week.

You never know with Lyle as you need a bus to take him out at time1 -
I think it's clear from his latest interview that RD wants us to go down. Lower costs and all that, so selling our best players will help achieve his goal, the c*nt.0
-
and @bobcafc7 was fitting an alarm at Taylor's house who told him how unhappy he was. (see activity page)
Taylor wants the better deal he was promised, he's not getting it and if he doesn't will push for a move. Simple solution is to pay him more or sell him.
