Assuming has actually signed, it would be an act of kindness by both Charlton and Brighton to let him be in Brighton for his family reasons.LargeAddick said:Having a baby this week would explain why he’s been training with Brighton I suppose.
I don't suppose he's getting much sleep either!

When it doesn't happen will we ever find out whose fault it was?0

Not unless they are preventing him playing for Brighton.Macronate said:Hened should sue the FA for restraint of trade.0 -
Chelsea have already wrapped up the signing of his son, in an eighteen year deal, with a one-year option to extend.
He's going out on loan soon.17 -
At least they are taking their transfer ban seriously...Chizz said:Chelsea have already wrapped up the signing of his son, in an eighteen year deal, with a one-year option to extend.

We don't need the FA giving him 5 months of paternity leave until January though!Oggy Red said:

Perhaps they've already done so - that's the problem!killerandflash said:

Hemed, are you Andy Delort in disguise?

Why the hell do I keep coming on here hoping there might be something genuinely informative.Rhetorical. No question mark.1

Good morning Major

You'd think in this day and age where accountability is so important the FA would be a bit more open in its day to day dealings.
Put the case on the website, add a few details i.e. reason for dispute and a date by which they plan to have an answer / verdict. It's not the secret society ffs it's about football, the business they supposedly deal with and the vested interests of the fans, the clubs involved and not least the player himself.5 -
Today’s the day. I feel it.0

Its going to be confirmed in January isnt it?
I also wonder if we are the only team waiting on the FA to sort themselves out? This is mental how long its taking.
How long does it really take?
"shall we confirm his transfer to Charlton?" "na they were a bit late/yeah they just about got it over the line"
"Cool.....fancy a pint?"1 -

Replying toHere are quotes from Lee Bowyer on the situation. Says #cafc would appeal if the Hemed deal is rejected. (link: https://www.londonnewsonline.co.uk/charlton-athletic-boss-bowyer-were-not-getting-answers-on-deal-for-brighton-striker/) londonnewsonline.co.uk/charlton-athle…15“LB: The only thing I can think is maybe they are dealing with the problems at Bury and Bolton. That’s the only thing I can think of as to why they haven’t come back to us – which is wrong because it is the boy’s career. #cafc2313LB: "At the moment he is contacting Steve Gallen [head of recruitment] every day, two or three times a day, asking what is going on. We can’t give him answers because we aren’t getting any answers." #cafc2110 -
Sounds like we haven’t even got to the point of appeal?

What have the FA got to do with the Bury / Bolton case thouyh, surely thats the EFL's problem to deal with
Or is there just one person in the office dealing with all this?0 -
in fairness, they've got to get through all the Bs first, before they can start on the Cs. Imagine what it must be like for poor old Yeovil.ForeverAddickted said:What have the FA got to do with the Bury / Bolton case thouyh, surely thats the EFL's problem to deal with

If it were that simple a no then surely we would know by now. Also Bowyer stating we will appeal if it’s a no - which goes against IDKs here saying we had got turned down and launched an appeal already.
Confusing all round0 -
To be fair to the FA appeals panel, it can’t be arranged “just like that” the panel members will need to be chosen and arrangements made to have them, their carers, medical equipment such as Zimmer frames transported to the FA and the problem explained to them so that they can say no. These things take time.17

What a total farce.4

The most frustrating thing about this is that we all know if it was a premier league club they would have had their answer one way or another within 24 hours max. Little old charlton can wait over a week, who cares.1
-
But Brighton are Premier League!. Just not one of the billy big gonads clubs i suppose0
