It makes more sense now that we haven't replaced Lockyer in the squad, it's the £1300pw embargo which is the problem as few players would accept thatScoham said:1 -
We need to get the embargo lifted and then get a squad. I get what you're saying because the off the pitch problems does make it difficult to build a strong squad now. Would be surprised if Watson came although there were rumours that he wanted to come back south last year.0

Can't imagine Watson dropping down to League 1, even if we were able to offer circa 3k. He's surely on 10 at Forest.2

Only Arsenal player to go out on loan this week is Ben Sheaf who joined Coventry.
Prior to that, the most recent player to head out on loan from Arsenal to League One was Matt Smith (not that one) to Swindon on August 17, almost three weeks ago.1 -
Unless Bowyer has made the mistake as cant see any other League One signings from Arsenal0

Sheaf fits the Bowyer mould to be honest, going after players who did well at this level last season0 -
Agree that Sheaf makes the most sense but not sure how much chance we really had if a Championship club was also in for him.1
