That cross by Smyth for Chuckie’s goal ... exquisite21

To all the doom-and-gloom merchants who thought pre-game that this would be the match we'd get found out, too many injuries and suspensions for us to cope with blah, blah, bloody blah ...
Have some bloody faith in this group!!
Yet another clean sheet, another match where we've scored a goal, five wins in a row.
At this rate the chant should be '2-0 to the Charlton'.
Everyone put in a decent shift and it was a well-deserved three points.
The only down side was the injury to Akin - we're not having much luck in that department ... again.
Five wins in a row, 16 points out of 18 in October with six successive clean sheets.
We're on a roll.

Amos had some dodgy moments in possession but all keepers can have those. His handling was good. I think the booking was disapointing. I would urge him to let others waste the time. We don't really want to lose him for any games.1

Agree with Lee, best 3 points of the season against a team that will be in the shake up.
So pleased that Bowyer went with two attacking subs for two attacking players.
With a good owner Lee Bowyer is able to do this where last season he was snookered.
Can't wait for Charlton to hit top gear as we are still getting to know each other.
Beware League 1 when Cafc do that.
Because of injuries and rotation we will look ragged during matches but we are capable of hitting the sweet spot.
Sounds like Elite Football is continuing ( yes we are elite !)5 -
Watson totally anonymous yet again. What does he even bring to the table?? Awful performance.

What a top result.
Lee Bowyer is an absolute top manager, the way he has rebuilt this squad so fast is nothing short of extraordinary.
The only annoying thing is that if Sandgaard had arrived in January then we’d have never been relegated in the first place.
Don’t forget folks that Bowyer and Gallen have actually built this squad with their second and third choice targets - Sandgaard only came in about two weeks before the transfer window closed so many of our targets would have already gone elsewhere.
So good to consign the Dodgy Brothers, Demented Duchatelet, The Boracic Arab and Matt Mouthall to the dustbin of history and get this great club heading back into sunnier times.16 - Sponsored links:

What a result! wasn't expecting that at all.
We got lucky with the ref not sending Pratley off even if he spent a lot of the rest of the match trying to 'make it up.' It was a result to keep him on both for his tangible contribution and the inspiration and encouragement he gives the others.
As has become typical under Bowyer it is difficult to single out individuals often from a professional, gritty team performance: Pratley I've mentioned, Matthews deserves credit for slotting back in as if he'd never been away,Gunther performed brilliantly considering he was out of position, Maatsen looks an upgrade on a previous diminutive Chelsea left back what a ball for Johnny Williams' goal and of course Famewo who was his usual solid self. I hope to God he is not 'another Alfie' with his injury. The others all contributed but, given our frustrating tendency to invite pressure, my one criticism today, it was the defenders I noticed most in terms of individual contributions.
Five consecutive wins and a draw without a goal conceded cannot be argued with.

Great performance, great result. Every player worked hard and it was a great team performance. Playoffs look good which will be a great result this season.0

Surprised at all the comments saying Pratley should have been off. I think it was a yellow but to get a red for that you need to make contact6
-
Had he been sent off we couldn't have complained. But we would have anyway.
Mind you, they couldn't have complained if we had been awarded a penalty!

Some refs would class that as dangerous play regardless of what contact, if any, was made with the oppo player.
That the Old Man managed to escape without even a yellow owes a lot to his powers of persuasion. Put Prats in charge and we'd have world peace by half-time!6
