DOUCHER said:depends what we and others are prepared to offer him - i'm guessing that none of the current players we have offered contracts to are seen as first 11 players and their offers will reflect that, both in terms of salary and contract duration - Shrewsbury may think differently1

Just as our players are, perhaps, considering their options, there will be players offered deals by their existing clubs who are also talking to us.
But remember the old adage.
Players who move to Charlton are moving for football reasons and furthering their careers.
Players who move on from Charlton are greedy, ungrateful, disloyal snakes who can feck off as they're not 100% committed for not taking the first offer on the table.
Chuks is certainly shopping around, and was looking for an increase (let’s not forget he was signed on a championship wage)
we will get the right players in.. agreements will already be in place, but might not happen till later on in the window!1 -

Bedsaddick said:I’d be ruthless . Anyone stalling on signing a contract , I’d fuck them off .I know it sounds naive but if they are willing to go for extra few quid then go , so we can get on with signing players who have a different motivation. We’ve got a player who can’t even play a full game of football for some mysterious reason and even he won’t sign a new contract . See ya0

If we can’t offer a player as much as Shrewsbury are offering them , then that five year plan to get into the Prem is looking like pie in the sky .Or perhaps Nigel just isn’t keen on keeping him .2

I understand your point of us not offering a big deal due to his physical risks, but that doesn’t mean Shrewsbury Town come in to the equation at all. This is clearly a nonsense story, most likely orchestrated by Aneke’s agent.3 -

Something doesn’t add up with that one. Where would Shrewsbury find the money they’d need to attract him? And why would they overpay for an injury prone player?0
-
If Shrewsbury are stupid enough to offer Aneke big pay day and decent contract .. then bye bye Aneke1

Not saying they'd be RIGHT to do so but it's not beyond possibility.0 -

This is clearly a nonsense story, most likely orchestrated by Aneke’s agent.Transfer rumours are slow this time of year and it seems people are making them up for the sake of driving engagement. For the record, I’d be quite happy to see him move on and use the funds on a player that can start 40+ games a season.1
