Twine is going to be good if he continues to progress. The way he strikes the ball is special but he’s very lightweight. I’ve had an eye on him for 6 months now.
similar sort of player is Elliott Watt at Bradford. Centre midfielder, 2 good feet, decent tackle and looks to have a lot of potential for his age. Strangely he looks like he is carrying a tiny bit too much timber so if he could give some to Twine he could be a good fit 😀5 -

On Saturday when Cawley broke the Portsmouth interest he said "it's a good job we got in early" no other news has come out, the other two articles were rehashed from Cawley's. I asked if he had heard anything from his "source" that justified his back peddling. He didn't answer.cafcfan1990 said:

If he was so sure Stockley was done, and now is so sure Stockley isn't signing I think it's fair to ask why he thinks that. Because nothing in the public demain indicates either stance.
If you post stuff like "done deal" and it doesn't happen fair enough. To then change your mind based on, nothing more than, a click bait article leaves you open to a bit of stick. It wasn’t stated as a rumour, or a "I heard", it was stated as fact.0 -

I haven’t rooted for a player to succeed so much for a long time, people may be right that he’s a flop, but the way he’s been written off with so many circumstances against him is quite bizarre. I hope the top scouts on this forum are working behind the scenes with Adkins this summer when they can judge a player based on such a small amount of game time. We should have a different thread for Stockley it’s doing my head in - what level of interest do other teams have on him is the real question ?
1)low - Interested in him because he is similar to our current striker and he could be a good option if we loose him this window - although he has a year left on his contract at PNE who are asking for a substantial fee
2)medium interest- we need a tall striker and he fits the bill - bit pricey for us though
3)high interest- he would integrate well, would be a regular starter, can see where he would fit in with

if if we sign Mendes-Gomes I’d be both amazed and delighted. I’ve watched him four times and all his highlights and he’s quality.Great technically and physically and that Wembley pen showed some real bottle for a youngster. He’s not the same but reminds me of Aribo. Will be sold for millions in 3 years time.
On another note. lots of people saying we real experience in the SMT. But specifically on Ged Roddy does he have any experience? wasn’t he more player development? I’m not sold on this fella yet.Really that leaves us with Gallen & Nige and Gallen’s never actually had a budget before. Hope we’re well prepared.1 -

We don't even know who we are intrested in bar a couple of "I heard"s which I myself share as well, so I am not having a dig at anyone. The only really credible ones are the Pompey keeper and Stockley (both confirmed by Cawley) and that we were intrested in Randall and Kirk in January. Both under a salary cap and a different manager.
Remember back to 2011, as so many people like to, Wiggins was going to sign for Watford (a top Championship club at the time) and Green was going to cost 7 figures. Days later they signed for us.0 -

Yes, he was. Scott Twine was regularly raved about last season - 21yo, 10+ goals and assists in 20/21 and pretty much all of his goals are worldies from outside the box.Cafc43v3r said:
