Both Innis & Gilbey have now missed all 3 pre-season games. The first 2 were down to "niggles"......I wonder if the same goes for today or if its Covid related.
Trouble is they might now be fit, but if their niggles happened early in pre-season then they could well be two weeks behind in terms of basic fitness - Hence why we're not seeing Schwartz yet either
Schwarz is still knackered after returning late from nuptial duties.

Schwartz not isolating after returning from
    Denmark will
be available on Monday if that’s the case ?
I don't know anymore than you do, Ronnie. We'll have to wait until we're told.

We seem to be very open in midfield, and look rather slow and concerning at the moment. Dartford looking very useful.

Inniss is so injury prone it's unreal.
Nowhere has it been said that Inniss is injured.

Nowhere? Someone just said he's been out with a niggle.

Just imagine if the Covid outbreak had happened 3 weeks later & these players missed the opening game(s)

Oh, wouldn't matter I suppose because our squad building has been a success & we could easily replace them with the other members of the squad 🤔🤫.

Seems like getting players in before transfer deadline day is important after all. Who would have thought it.
Trust you to take a matter as serious as Covid to knock the club
  • Watching on the screen, that Dartford kit clashes with the hoardings & the stand…& keep losing sight of the football too…🤔

But the club are taking extra care with his training schedule.

We're giving him 6 months to get himself fit...

That was specifically Gilbey. Adkins said so.

But he did tell us that Innis was to join the training last Monday. I would guess it's too soon for him to get games.
Adkins has previously told us that Inniss has had his own schedule or whatever .... as he's expected to be a big player for us this season. Something like that.

Morgan looks busy and generally effective, but we're lacking any control with our midfield in general. If we are playing Dobson and Albie, we'll need someone whose more of a complete midfielder between them.

Watson and Dobson in the same team is no improvement from the Pratley-Watson debacle last season.

Seriously, I would expect that Steven Gallen is chasing a midfielder  like that.

If we can see what's missing, you can bet the recruitment team have already seen that too.

They should and probably have been since about ten minutes into the Lincoln game, if they weren't already.

Was a massive problem last season as we only had one player who even resembled a complete midfielder, despite having about a dozen of them.

Adkins has already told us that Watson is intended to be back up.
There's surely a new CM coming in, whether contracted or loan.

No Watson either, we really are at bare bones today
Probably one of the least concerns as we appear to have adequate cover in his area.
And he is not particularly good

Well the way things are going we are likely going to need to cobble a midfield together for the first game or two. And with the current squad that would likely be Watson, Dobson and Gilbey. Or Dobson, Morgan and Gilbey. Neither have the correct balance but I'd assume it will be the first option.

You have more faith than I do. We 100% needed a centre half in January and got Smith.

Dartford def making a better fist of a match than Welling, and we do seem to be playing a different game as a consequence, lack of composure for the final ball, and ending in some impatient  play. hopefully playing to the conditions, appreciate it is a psf, be interesting second half lineup.

A lot of long balls looking to pick out players making runs in behind and failing to do so. Unimpressive so far. Would like to see more dominant, patient possession.

Teams must poo their pants when they see Ben Purrington running at them
