The other teams in the same position as us will find the same thing. That's why we need a minimum of 6-8 signings, including loans in, very quickly.
Wycombe and Rotherham haven't done much in the market and Wednesday are still a mess and going to struggle to put a team out next Saturday.
We are still sort but with probably the exception of Oxford so is everyone else.9 -
NA does not seem to be his usual smiley self in the recent two interviews nor any morning tweets?2

Really think you are over analysing things.
Maybe it's all true about NA being unhappy about the situation but his demeanor in interviews hasn't changed IMHO.23 -
Still yet to be replaced:
Maatsen, Aneke, Millar.

We’re Not the only ones bemoaning a lack of transfer activity!

Stockley will be very effective in winning headers, holding the ball up and bringing other players into the attack. I think having players coming from deeper into the box is Adkins preferred style of play. The problem won’t be Stockley. At present we don’t have those other players coming from deeper that have enough goals in them. I think Gilbey might when he gets back fit. We need another Left wide player and in my opinion an attacking central midfielder to pull the strings.5

Ipswich have Pigott, Bonne, Chaplin, Jackson and Norwood as potential strikers. I'm sure they'll be fine.
Vetokele got injured pre-season and Karlan grabbed his chance.
Perhaps with Davison, despite the misgivings of many based on watching a raw young lad 2 years ago, maybe we should just wait and see how things unfold?
Remember also, Adkins has a reputation for providing a pathway for young players to prove themselves.
He'll only do that if he has confidence in the player.

Adkins talked about not blocking pathways for youngsters, but also bringing in some experience. I could see an older CB coming in on a 1 or 2 year deal, or maybe a season loan, that way Elewere can be eased in gently and given a break when needed.2 -

Portsmouth are short, their manager has said so, Sunderland are short their manager has said so, Rotherham are short, their manager has said so. I could go on.
Every one bar Oxford and Morecambe are well short on the number of players they had last season, even Wigan and Ipswich.
Saying you think we are short isn't some sort of unique insightful take. Stevie Wonder could see it. So is everyone else. We are in the same situation as almost everyone else.
The window is open for another month and due to Covid, Brexit, the Euros and multiple other reasons there is more still to happen than normal. Even in "normal" times a lot of business happens late.

He'll only do that if he has confidence in the player.Karlan was one of the highest rated academy products we’d had in years. At 19 he’d just scored 9 goals in 15 league two games, plenty of fans were exited to see him.We got Josh Davison because Peterborough didn’t think he was good enough for their u23’s. At 21 he managed 3 goals in 20 league two games5 -

Davison has failed to make it into a team in a lower division.
Promotion chasing Forest Green brought Davison in as cover for their big target man, who was playing well, scoring goals and didn't get injured.
Unless that striker lost form or was missing through injury, why would a less experienced player replace him?
Davison was asked to adapt his game to play a different role, one he'd no previous experience of playing.
He nevertheless made 20 League Two appearances, both starts and from the bench, scoring 3 goals and a number of assists.
Is that what you mean by saying, "Davison has failed to make it into a team in a lower division" ..... ?
It seems to me he was a useful and valued member of their squad.

If he was a youth squad player that we were going to give the odd game in the EFL trophy I wouldn't mind at all. It's the fact he is our second choice striker for the coming season.
If we are looking at chasing promotion, relying on a player that has only ever reliably scored goals in the Isthmian League isn't my idea of a safe bet.3 -

Grant did well on loan.
And so did Davison. He improved his all round game and did what was asked of him.

He's a young player making his way, works hard, spot on attitude and hungry to succeed.
His manager rates him.
Give him a chance.
