Twitter? Not arguing, but surely more appropriate the OS.

Good good. But I'm more excited for January/June when we can get rid of a whole bunch of those who are even more to blame.

Good bye - would have preferred he did a good job, but obvious he lost the plot.

Jacko ought to get it on a permanent basis. Ignore all that lack of experience nonsense, everyone has got to start somewhere. He's more managerial experience at a higher level than Nathan Jones had when he got the Luton gig and he ain't done too bad!
Jacko is passionate and intelligent and someone we can all readily get behind!

    Next to go?

Gunter, Watson, Morgan and DJ to start with.

It then needs a total clear-out, but get the right manager first.

We'll see how the team play against Sunderland. Not expecting us to win, but if there's no improvement in shape or tactics then he has to go too.

Need a new start NA a top bloke but it hasn't worked and his selections have become eclectic of late.

Need some energy in midfield or we will always get overpowered.

Shame it had to happen but it really, really did need to happen.

Over to Jackson now to show what he can do.

I think (hope) if Jacko stops the rot he’ll get it permanently

Let’s face it, promotion is gone now so our goal for the season is to finish 20th

Wish Nigel all the best .. today managers don’t even get 12 months but not sure he should take the full blame , JJ is lucky to still be there considering he is responsible for set plays and defending …. now we have a real problem trying to find a replacement ..

100% this, plus its the cheapest option for Tommy

my concern is how long do we give JJ to try and sort this out and if in the short term he can't then will it be too late to save our season for anyone permanently coming in. Let's forget Sunderland results wise, although hoping for a much improved performance, we then have two homes games in four days. If we fail to win one of those is that it for him? Harsh maybe but if that happens we will really be deep in the brown stuff by then.

Jackson said himself he needed two years before he would be ready for too job that’s why NA was brought in on the understanding that Jackson was his assistant on 18 month contract so Jackson would be ready to take over … but that plan not happened ??

Good first step. The ridiculous player selection system next and proper advisors for  Sandgaard brought in.

Good news, became clear yesterday something was happening.

It’ll be interesting to see how we perform on Saturday. Don’t be surprised to see JJ going with a similar shape but with more focus on defending (more 4-5-1 than 4-3-3) and hopefully giving the players belief to play football rather than fear making mistakes.

I didn’t want Adkins when he was first linked, then was hopeful it would work out after looking more into his career (e.g. Hull fans liked him and he seemed to leave due to the ownership).

Shame it didn’t work out. Didn’t expect us to do as well as we did under him last season, even more surprising has been how terrible we’ve been this season.

If JJ doesn’t get a reaction I’ve said before I hope we bring in a promising young manager or coach rather than another relatively big name dropping down from the Championship.
  • I do feel for Nigel,he is a thoroughly decent man who had his own ideas, but sadly for all concerned it did not work out.I will now be livid,as much as I want to see an improvement in results,if this bunch of players suddenly become all action world beaters,it will speak volumes about their own pride of performance under Adkins.
