To be fair, they haven't really rubbed my nose in it.
More like, "WTF is going on at your club? I had them down as a good bet for promotion."
Mind you, we go to Argyle in a few weeks. Might be a bit different then!
…and Argyle come to the valley first don’t they?

Alot of people starting Dobson in their lineups! Not saying I disagree as I could never fathom why he disappeared he played ok I though before he was dropped. Interesting to see if we do have a new structure and lineup this weekend2

Interesting to see if we do have a new structure and lineup this weekendIf he can temper the urge to dive in on occasions perhaps with help from an old head like Arter Watson or Pearce talking talking him through a game he could nail that position down.2

Dobson would certainly have something to prove against his old club.6

I wonder what the single best quality Jacko could take as a learning point from each person on that list.

"Having dominated the game, but hit the woodwork 8 times, Sunderland were stunned in the 89th minute when former player George Dobson came back to haunt them, dribbling past 5 players before curling the ball into the top corner from 25 yards to score a brilliant winner."8 -
Blackpool here, always keep an eye out for you lot. Desperate times but you will pull through. There is always light at the end of the tunnel . Keep the faith52

Henderson, Gunter, Pearce, Morgan, Watson, Leko, Davison, Famewo, DJ,
That'd be my pick. If DJ isn't doing it, easy to rotate him with Leko and Morgan has also done a job from LM before now.
Exactly we've already seen you can't play with two wingers, even more with two wingers who won't chase back. What we need is a Johnny Robinson who'll run up & down all day long & a Graham Stuart who'll give you width but can also tuck in & again will chase back. Well I can dream can't I ?

Funny how Stockley is everyone’s number one choice, when Davison has been the better option all season. Is he really seen as a safer bet?0

Get rid of the non contributing light weight wingers.
It's like playing with 9 men and when NA brought on CBT for Lee at Lincoln, it was like playing with 8 players.
Then he couldn't understand why we barely got a kick for 70 mins.0 -

As for Leko, he's been arguably our best player this season.
What's wrong with wide forwards? If you play a midfield 3 behind them, they should be able to cover the full-backs adequately and the wingers should be free to attack2 -
'non contributing lightweight wingers' is some Bowyer talk. At some point you have to back attacking play. Really annoyed by that phrase. Leko, CBT, even DJ really not contributed? Look at our goals and assists...2

What percentage of time has CBT been used well?
We need 100%, but I'd reckon it's around 25%, so not contributing 75%.
The wide forwards have not been doing any defensive duties and not much offensive either.
Leko played well against Accrington, but CBT barely figured again until late on.
What is needed is players that can offer 100% from first to last whistle.
Not players that contribute every 4 or 5 games and even then only for a small part of the game.
Our full backs have been 2v1 all season and boy could they do with some protection.
We're 3rd from bottom, not 3rd from top.9 -

Don't have a lot to add other than good luck to NA. Seemed like a thoroughly decent bloke. And there were signs last season that he was a decent manager. But it didn't work out, and this needed to happen. Arguably sooner than it did, but certainly no later than it did.
As for Jacko, I certainly wish him the best. I'm not convinced he's the answer. He's been a part of three coaching regimes now, all three of which have fallen apart (with success mixed in under Bowyer). And not just fallen apart, but fallen apart in terms of tactics and organization. I know some say he's the defensive and set pieces coach, I'm not sure if that's true or perceived, but if it is true then he certainly has to take a fair share of the blame for our results this season.
All that said, given his ties to the club and the fact that he is a young and hungry coach, I do think he deserves a few games as an audition. But if I were TS/Roddy/Gallen et al, I would be looking for a back up in case Jackson doesn't work out.
This is the job he wanted after Bows left, maybe even after Robbo left. He's got it now. Hope he smashes it.9 -
