And how ironic that it was that idiot who in a way started the rot for SCP. No wonder SCP ignored the mad Belgian and refused to drop Hamer and another competent keeper in Ben Alnwick for him.1 -

I think we may well be stuck with him next season, but that doesn't mean AMB might not be a better.option ahead of him.1

if one thing has been proven by the lack of competition this year it's that CM will be here next season and hopefully spending most of it competing for AMB's shirt.0

It's an opinion stated as fact and something like this is incredibly hard to quantify even if all the evidence is available.4 -
needs to go to specsavers

I think he's the worst keeper we've had for years.5

I was a big fan of Amos, give me a keeper at this level that relieves pressure on the defence over a 'good shot stopper' any day. Sadly MacGillivray isn't even that good at the latter.

Not good enough.
If a keeper cannot command his box and never ever collects a corner or free kick in this league, they’re not able to breed confidence into the rest of the team.
When the team aren’t aerially strong enough, you need the keeper to take the pressure off for you.
He doesn’t do that so even when he might make a good save, which is his job, it’s not enough for the rest of his game to make up for it.
We need another keeper if AMB is not ready for next season because no team gets promoted with a keeper who doesn’t give the defence in front of him confidence.16 -
We've played many oppositions who have had a goalie that's either saved or won them the game.
Fans have thought signing POTY at other L1 and L2 would be the way forward, but this hasn't worked greatly.
Amos did let in many goals from outside the area but look back at how many strikes didn't even have our player closing the striker of the ball down.0 -
Being generous he's currently struggling for form, but this is where we're slightly struggling seeing that nobody is talking about playing Henderson instead1

This is the worst run we’ve had of a keeper since Ilic kept diving over the top of them in 98/99.0

11" taller than me btw.1 -

I'm not just just jumping on the bandwagon - been saying this for months - but his unwillingness to come for crosses means he will never be the goalkeeper we need for a promotion push in this league where the ball gets crossed into the area frequently.
If he plays tonight, just watch him. Rooted to his line as the ball flies dangerously across the 6 yard box.
I was a big fan of Ben Amos and his style of keeping. He genuinely was one of the best catchers of crosses I have ever seen in a Charlton shirt. We have missed him hugely.
Finally I'm still scratching my head at Corey Blackett - Taylor saying on the Bromley Addicks zoom call that he thought MacGillivray was our player of the year so far. Can only assume he doesn't watch much if he's not playing.4 -

Fucking embarrassing is what that is.3

Staying on the goalline as if playing a bloody school game on concrete during lunch break.
How can you not coach/train to become better in your profession!?3 -
Yeah it’s poor. He seems like a nice bloke but isn’t what’s needed to get out of this division unfortunately.2

Says all you need to know that he's never played above League One at his age. Never been part of a promotion winning side. Only ever was a regular from the age of 25 where before that he had played just 33 games.
Not good enough if we are genuinely serious about promotion next season. His distribution is poor, I can't remember a time he caught a cross or free kick and took the pressure off. Might make some decent saves but that is his job.
If AMB is not deemed ready, we need another keeper to come in and be a real quality number 1.17 -
He caught a cross at the last home game and an almighty cheer went up.1

Hadn’t seen the goals until just now. WOW.1
