That’ll teach me… but I still went crazy outside the ground!3 -

Aneke obviously makes a huge difference but you can’t tell me Stockley, however poor his form has been, wouldn’t be more of a threat with a few more balls into the box like we put in second half. We have to find that way to transition from patient build up to being quicker and more direct once we’re within 40 yards of goal.Worried about the defence with O’Connell and Innis missing, and Wollacott seems to have caught Charltongoalkeeperitis whe it comes to stopping long shots, but we’ll park that for now. What a game and great belief and determination to get back into it twice.
So great for Dobbo to be the one who got the winner.0 -

Couldn't make it today… what did I miss?1

Was it Cullen away at West Brom?1 -
Bailey said:Hard to be critical and yes there is a lot of things that are not as they should be but just look at the events. Because of Innis's suspension we play a centre half who hasn't played a first team game for at least a year, we then lose one of our full backs, one of our better players, we then lose our first choice centre back, once again vital to the team, we then bring on his replacement who has not started for us since I don't know when.
We then go two down, our manager gets sent off by a referee who has long since lost control of the game. We fight and get two goals to draw level, we then concede two in injury time but fuck me the bloke who ain't played for a year and hasn't scored for probably longer actually scores, then to cap it all the player who fights nearly every game, draws us level, I need a lay down.0 -
I’ve solved all our problems- ban BG from the touchline and we’ll score freely!
Seriously, what a game. Loved the way we fought back, loved the fans’ passion, loved Garner’s passion as he walked off towards the tunnel and loved the players’ passion.Turning point had to be Aneke and CBT coming on, while Fraser was immense.Underlined why I tell my grandkids never to leave a game before the final whistle.2 -
Love Ben Garner and his passion.
Really grown on me as the season has progressed. Absolutely brilliant response from the lads and give Dobson that captain armband permanently.
9th place in touching distance of the playoffs14 -

Not saying it will happen at all. But if we go on a little run and pick up wins against:
Burton
Port Vale
Cheltenham
Morecambe
Bristol Rovers
Then all of a sudden we might end up right in the mixer. However we have made a hash of these sort of games this year, and with potential injury issues hitting again, I am not sure if we can.6 - Sponsored links:

Morsy and Mckenna going on about terrific support they had, well they certainly had the numbers but as for the support, you only heard from them when they were winning, so 'fraid can't agree, support was visual and naff all otherwise when it mattered..7

I wonder what the record is for the number of goals scored in injury time is? Can’t be much more than four?0

Clare on 5 yellow cards0

I don't think Ipswich were that great tbh. They have enough talent to do well enough but not the world beaters there made out to be.
Left at 3-2 to my shame but what a result. There's a decent team here...need some holes plugged in January then who knows what we can do.
Edit: ref was quite honestly the worst one we've had. Fucking disgrace.
Thanks.11 -

First up, hats off to anyone here who was still in the Covered End to see Dobbo’s header sail in. You’ve seen, heard, and felt one of those moments you’ll talk about for years and years.Second, we naturally focus on our own weaknesses, but let’s stop and take a look at Ipswich for a moment, which is easier when you’ve got Brownie in your ear all match. They looked like the best team in the league most of the time, but maybe one reason is that they don’t seem to suffer calamitous injuries. They only really took control when, yet again, we suffered two. The moment Chuks and CBT came on, they suddenly looked uncertain, and with good reason as it turned out. Then they took advantage of our rusty defence and Brownie kept saying “ good teams find a way to win”. Except, unbelievably, they didnt and their fans will be in meltdown. Watch our goals again, but with an eye on their defending. It’s comical, and not just the keeper. This is the best team in the league. It shows you that we are not actually that far off, and we might not need so many additions if only we could keep what we had fit, ffs. It looked like the two today were just things that happen, but you wonder when you hear that Ipswich back 6 are pretty much unchanged all season.I’m gutted for Egbo and especially O’Connell, who was starting to look like the class player the Dale fans assured me he is. Big losses, and I am not sure we can cope well.As for the ref, I thought I misheard when Garner said he announced himself as a “Championship ref”. But there it is. I tried to tell myself that it’s irrational to think that some refs seem like narcissists and egomaniacs. But here we are. BG will get a fine, and the ref…? But then again, as someone who’s always banging on about too much injury time, today was payback, big time, for all the goals we’ve conceded in dubious time keeping circs. Another reason for those Tractor Boys to be pissed off big time on the train home.24

Everyone thought the same, until someone saw on his phone that it was us who scored.Gutted to have missed it. Aaaagh!!Can’t wait to see it on ITV. It has to be the first L1 match for a change.
You're no more than a glory boy. Go support your grandfathers team.

I think the people who give Stockley very low marks are wrong. Admittedly he is a relatively limited League 1 striker but the poor guy has to play up front virtually on his own. He gets no support at all from Kirk ( who is useless) and precious little from Rak Saki. He won quite a lot of headers today but its pointless because there is no one near him to help or take advantage. Also he is very important defensively because he is the 2nd best after Inniss at clearing headers.
The other point is that the reason Aneke is so effective when he comes on is because the defenders are tired partly from their physical battle against Stockley.16 - Sponsored links:

Dull but at least it's a point 😁5

Wow. I think I have just got my heat rate down.Player marks seem down on Thomas which I think is really harsh. First full league game in about 8 months and we were defending really well until O’Connell and Egbo went off injured. He dealt with all his personal 1-1’s really well, passed to Sessignon perfectly every time, wasn’t at fault for any goal and scored a crucial goal. I thought he showed promise.Dobson and Fraser will not have a tougher game and they were everywhere today. It’s a shame CBT and Aneke couldn’t have given us 45 mins as I think those changes at half time and we win.
Ben Garner will undoubtedly see a fine and a ban coming but I am so pleased he stood up to the inept officiating today. You could tell from the first five minutes, he wanted it to be nothing but the ref show. That ending was wonderful. I just want to go back and watch it all again. Let this be a catalyst for the rest of the season 💪💪6 -

Or have I imagined all that?

For all of his efforts Stockley doesn’t have the pace to shut down the keeper and back four for a high pressing game.1 -
I'm afraid I'm in the stopped watching at 2-4 ! Gang.
Gutted to have missed our 2 goals as I honestly think we were not deserving of a 2cgoal defeat.
Well played to the whole squad for showing that spirit. Dobson for me epitomizes everything I love in a footballer in terms of attitude.2 -

Yes, I'm looking at you Golfie Jnr 😄😄😄😄9 -
Can't dispute the character of the team in TWICE coming back from a deficit of two goals.
Why we were twice in that situation is another question of course, perhaps partly connected to the injuries mentioned below.
Just hope the injuries to Egbo and O'Connell are not too serious but, being Charlton, that hope is probably over optimistic.
Anyway a point is better than nowt. COYR!!!!!!!!!!!2 -

How many times has Stockley done that this season ?? And if you say "but that's not his game" then it should be if he is playing up top.5 -
Only missed the 2nd goal. Watched on TV and wife wanted me to get something from the car. Walked in to see a replay of the header into the net and thought it a replay of the 1st goal. When I saw it was - 0-2 I was having a right old moan to dad. Suddenly at 2-2 my wife walks in to the room and says " oh look they've scored 2, I thought it was still 0-2 as I didn't hear you say a thing, you always shout and yell when they score." I explained that I was not tempting fate. Then as the 4 go in in injury time I was just shell shocked.
A game like no other (that I've witnessed).
Loved Garner geeing up the crowd as he was ushered down the tunnel.
My dad bought me Home shirt for birthday. Its the first one I've ever owned with a player's name on the back.......
Dobson 4 it is.8 -
Stockley may battle away and is good defensively, but is so ponderous up front. Indeed I wonder about his fitness, as he's like a 36 year old veteran out there.6
