I’m sure if you saw similar videos of other photo shoots by models there would be some similarity with awkward poses, although a lot more prettier 🥸
these photoshoots are notoriously awkward. Some people love them and the chance to show off. Others dread them because for every “cool” photo that comes from them there are loads more where people look special….Some of the comments are rather distasteful in my opinion given he is, as things stand, our owner.
we shouldn’t forget he came in when we were on our knees. He came in with good intentions. I don’t think he knew what he was getting into financially but for all the people ripping the piss and calling him a loser …..I’d love to be worth a few hundred million pounds!
in summary he DID save us but soon realised he had misjudged the financial requirements. Presumably he didn’t have the right people advising him…just as with his recruitment at Charlton you could say! It does seem as if we are in the “last days of Rome” phase of his ownership but he has certainly not been malicious to the point he should be getting some of the abuse he is. It just isn’t working out.4 -

The Sandgaard saga Part 1:
" I'm a celebrity !"
And Part 2 :
"Get me outta here !"29 -
I kinda wish I wash watching one of those feel good factor films with some popcorn, where the baddie TS causes so much grief, then turns it all around, and they all lived happily ever after! Our position is the other way round and we have the big bad wolf, where the only winner will be the fans who support the club, for me now back to Port v Maroc !1

You moaned at RD for showing no passion, now an owner can show too much passion.
Don't get me wrong TS has run his course and make bad choices but as fans we do moan about the strangest things.20 -

Ultimately he surrounded himself with people who would only tell him what he wanted to hear, knowing they wouldn’t last long otherwise, and who would just take his money for as long as he was willing to hand it over.
There’s a level on which Thomas is amenable and enthusiastic, which are good personal qualities, but even now he is trying to rubbish Garner behind the scenes after the event. It appears that he doesn’t have either the humility or insight to realise, never mind admit, that the mess is his and Raelynn’s.
IMO, going back to the clip, while cringeworthy and not something I would do myself, if he wants to be part of it, let him have his fun.Hardly anyone would care or take the piss if the team was winning games and getting promoted. But they’re not and he’s only got himself to blame for leaving his reputation open to this.1 -

Yep. Don't recall Bob Whitehand, Martin Simons or Richard Murray behaving like this.1 -
It would be interesting to hear his thoughts on where he went wrong a couple of years after he's sold up.
Though he's Danish, his sensibilities seem to be entirely of the US - his brash hire and fire approach to people management seems very American. He's clearly been successful in his business in the States but is too blinkered to realise that what worked in his own start-up there will not translate to a long standing outfit in Europe where employee protections are much greater, and in an industry where many normal business rules don't apply.
I think his intentions were good but his execution has been abysmal, to his own cost and the club's. The fees and wages wasted on dire signings are eye watering in the context of our league.
There's an element of narcissism in the way he went about things from the start, but the adulation he wants has faded to nothing as his reign has stuttered on. You could forgive it as harmless eccentricity if the club was doing well, and indulge his ego a bit for improving the woeful state of the club, but his ongoing mismanagement and poor treatment of staff have eroded whatever goodwill remained.
He has tried but sadly for all concerned he has failed.10 -

A complete joke. For him and us.
I don't for one moment think that he has ever taken this whole vanity project/mid life crisis hobby or whatever this is? serious from day one.
Nob head.3 -
He has continued to insist we have a Top 4 budget so we should be Top 4.
Despite having no left footed defender in the squad. No fully fit centre forward and abundance of midfielders and a squad who largely are the same as last years.
Until he takes his head out of his arse on these beliefs, he'll continue to lose millions.
Even if our wage bill is higher than others it has been seriously misapplied and what he serves up as "entertainment" is one star Trip Advisor fare.
He should cut his losses. Accept any payment he can + carrying equity (if it's on offer) and understand his son isn't fit to be chief of recruitment and his wife isn't qualified to be COO.
Any person with half a brain should have cotttoned on to that now.15 -
I like to believe I'm one of the more articulate posters on CL 🙄 👎 but fuckerty, fuck, on this morning after the night before that instead of feeling all happy and looking forward to a WC semi final against the underdogs Morroco we now are back to the rudderless, inadequate, non achieves that have blighted our lives for ever and Sandgaard is just the latest that thought it was his way or the highway.
Ok, so no Semi final against Morocco in World cup but a drab League 1 game against Bristol Rovers where Cafc need 3 points so we don't get caught in the quick sand of relegation.
Why the fuck didn't anyone realize that Sandgaard isn't spelt Sangaard when the big banner was displayed in front of the TV cameras in our humiliation against Stockport.
Was it a deliberate mistake 🤔 or does dyslexia rule ko ?
Have a nice week 😢

I just want to add on that photoshoot - he's been screwed by someone filming it (or stupid enough to think someone should film it). doing that kind of stuff to get a single image is pretty normal. In the context of a single image it works (if you like that sort of picture) but looks extremely stupid at the time. I'd also say that I give him credit for throwing himself at it, most people would be too self concsious to go for it and the images are weaker as a result.
Ultimately, the problem was that someone videoed the thing!12 -

Neutral viewers will just think Charlton athletic fans/critics are professional moaners with a bad side who can't accept they are an established League 1 side who have more chance of League 2 than the Championship and are gutted at the state of our railways !
I still feel that so much damage has been inflicted on Cafc over the last decade plus the never ending injuries which in some cases are self inflicted because of getting players with dubious records of fitness. Thomas Sandgaard best work was in seeing off the odious Matthew Southall but he has the opposite of the Midas touch when it comes to the football side and the way to treat staff.
Definitely bigger problems than the ability to spell names correctly for Charlton fans/Critics.

It is if he prioritises it over staff welfare, and let’s face it there’s a fair chance he has.2

I don't buy some on here defending him, saying he was ill advised. Nobody advises him, as he knows better than anyone and this was just another one of his ego trips. As for a previous comment (can't remember who said it) that he bought the club with good intentions, but underestimated the cost of running it, well, that just confirms the man's an idiot he can't be bothered to do his homework. I'm sure if he had the right team behind him from the start, they could have given him a fairly accurate figure of what the running costs would have been and the fact that a substantial amount would also be needed to build a squad capable of "blowing this league out of the water".
This man deserves no thanks or sympathy as far as I'm concerned9 -

I don't know. When he first bought us I am fairly certain it was for both. I imagine that now he is getting abuse whilst chucking his £6-7M pa at the club it is more for himself.
His mistakes, his problem of course.0 -
