Summer Transfer Rumours - Deadline Day p446

On paper he looks a good signing and he sounds like he has a point to prove. Sometimes it takes players until they mature and realise what they need to do to succeed. At 26/27 he’s coming into his prime as a centre back. He could do a Lavelle but he seems to have more Pedigree so with the right attitude he could be great0

Can't say i know too much about him but this is a good sign.0 -
He is six foot three.ShootersHillGuru said:Don’t know enough to make a comment on Lloyd Jones but I was rather hoping we’d be looking higher.12 -
Was very highly rated when younger, had a few injury issues when younger held him back, but seems over them now.
would be a very good signing. Upgrade on Innins19 -
Jones sounds decent0

Most of the u18’s signing contracts, including Patrick Casey. I heard clubs were circling him and I could not be more chuffed that he has stayed with us for the next three years. 42 goals last season!
No dickheads policy
It just all seems so much more positive.
Other than we have been shafted for years, why are you feeling so negative? Are you hoping TS stays or happy he is going?7 -
Fair enough, but U16 is schoolboy level.mendonca said:

But not really the same comparison, is it?
International U20 is considered the best of young professional level, and many progress to U21s.
This lad Lloyd Jones was evidently considered a serious prospect at one time.

Yes, on Morecambe Pier. He was the first person in years to pick up a teddy bear with the claw crane in the amusement arcade.carly burn said:

My 12 year old grandson is attracting attention from club scouts, he finished last season on 27 goals and was voted player of the season across all nine teams that play in different age groups for the club. As you say it’s nothing that has been coached into him he just knows where the net is.ShootersHillGuru said:I think goal scoring is a knack. It’s almost a gift and at a certain level can’t be taught. Prolific youngsters are rarely as prolific as seniors but we’re lucky to have a couple who might be gold dust.
You must be very proud of the lad and I wish him well👏
Has he been selected for any schools district teams ?
Daniel Kanu and Ralfie Hand who are both Dartford lads played for North Kent. (I believe they started off representing NW Kent) Ralfie's dad who was a player himself in the Kent League was involved as a coach and informed me that Daniel Kanu was scoring goals for fun since he was six.
Ralfie Hand is 18 and one month older than Kanu and should be some good news very soon on his future. Unfortunately he has had too many injuries in the last two years but Cafc know he has talent so he will be given longer also.
Very hard and long journey is kids and youth development and Harry Hudson the co owner of Kenetic academy and present Sevenoaks manager was on Radio London last night doing an interview.

What we need to avoid is players who played for Ipswich, then signed elsewhere, then we sign them, as that delivers us dross like Marcus Bent and Darren Ambrose0

Given that the potential new owners have spent a fortune trying to buy the Club and have overcome huge obstacles just to get this far, and given that they must be supporting the offers made to so many of our youth players, and given that at least one of them is seriously rich, what is your gut feeling on their ability to pass the EFL tests and then build a team to get promoted?Croydon said:

Let May go.. we’re not interested in him.. it is news leaked by Smith who is May’s agent.

Unless I have missed it, I wasn't aware of any confirmation on who the new owners arre. Freidman has been mentioned online, but have you seen any documentation lodged anywhere official that confirms his billionaire involvement? Until that's confirmed, I won't be expecting our best window in years.Redrobo said:

I'll be more than happy to be proved wrong of course, I would love nothing more than for us to blitz this league. Just seems like there's a lot of faith being put into pretty vague information currently

IMO if May goes to Gills then he clearly ain’t good enough for a Lg1 promotion push11
