Not Lee Johnson please God. You can almost guarantee the shambles continuing.

  • We’ve got 3 years of Dean Holdens contract left to pay off, are we really going to be bring players in?

I know I called for Curbs or Moore yesterday but seriously what is going to change after Holden? Nothing. We’re in a vicious circle we never seem to get out of. History will repeat itself over and over in another 6-12 months. It’s getting tedious. Maybe it is something in the club up higher above. Definitely beginning to think we’re cursed.

After yesterday and last weekend, and with Fleetwood coming up, it couldn't wait. For all the complaining about the squad, if we get a decent manager in you're going to see a lot of players improve (not to mention come back from injury).

The timing is right. I don't like Methven, I don't trust Rodwell, and it all depends on who comes in next, but we were going nowhere under Holden, and the longer he stayed, the more games we were going to lose. He has no system and little to no gameplan.

Seems like a nice guy. Very well media trained. But when you look at his points to games ratio, plus his previous stints as a manager, there's nothing in there to indicate he's a genius in waiting.

Thanks Deano, this time it's not us, it's you.

It’s interesting that they’ve (apparently) sacked the back room staff too. That’s an expensive thing to do, also suggests they have someone lined up who’ll bring their team with them.

I dont know anything about Johnson - why dont people like him?
    He’s a Gobby little shite.
    Just like Bowyer then.....
He had his baggage for sure but let’s not forget he performed miracles under the Douchbag in getting us promoted. His man management skills left a lot to be desired but there’s no doubting he was able to attract some quality loans to the club as a former England international and very competitive goal scoring midfielder.

I’d be worried we might go for Lee Johnson given he’s worked with Methven before and left Hibs today
The mad thing is, my mate at work is Celtic and we were talking about Scottish football and he literally read out to me Lee Johnson been sacked and jested 'with the run of results your man is on, he may be next up' and I had to explain my disdain.

    Would be such bitter irony

I'd rather my Johnson, although it does have a mind of its own so probably wouldn't get past the interview stage.

We give the bloke a handful of free signings kids who are not up to the job (yes there’s promise and some stuff they produce is decent but over 90 not enough). You can’t polish a turd but you can roll it in glitter

Well, Holden got to realise his dream to lead a team out at Old Trafford. Just a shame he didn't get to lead them out at Brunton Park.

But… didn’t this lot bring Holden in?! He’s lasted less than a transfer window of them being in charge. We’re such a basket case of a club.

He’s had one striker!! With Leaburn fit he could have had about 12 points by now.

12 points, I reckon it will be 12 pints instead, down the Oak!

    Moore incoming.

  • That puts and end to any transfer targets being signed. Who would sign now?

    Right decision.
The squad may not be the finished article but we could have a £30m squad and still be shite with the dismal coaching and tactical naivety Holden’s responsible for.
  • Definitely feels like someone has already been lined up. Otherwise getting rid of the goalkeeping coach is a bit odd.

You’d imagine the new guy has told the club who is and isn’t surplus to requirements on the coaching side.
