To be fair, there can’t be a row Z at Sixfields. Maybe that's why he hesitated.JamesSeed said:
I sit in Row Z ⚽️Lordflashheart said:I was there - what a crap ground - we should have 3 or 4 nil up and out of sight by the time the mistake happened - hey ho - joys of supporting CAFC - 2nd half in particular it was men against boys - keep playing like that, cut out stupidity at the back (why didn’t Isted just stick it in Row Z), and we will be fine
Still waiting.
And through it all he offers us protectionBig gloves on all deflectionsThough sometimes he gets it wrongAnd even if we fallWherever it may take meI know League Two won't break meWhen it comes to callHe won't forsake meI'm loving Isted instead10 -

What a little bitch that Brady is. Don't recall that soft lad on loan from Brighton being touched. Be thankful for a very undeserved point.5

When he said good footballing side, he meant a bunch of softies. The type of refs we have at this level, a minimum approach is kick or be kicked.3

Playing the kind of football he loved facing no doubt. FunnyCallumcafc said:“When we came to the Valley a few weeks ago Charlton rolled over and let us tickle their tummy and now they don’t let us do that and I’m upset by it”

Exactly - he should have beenkillerandflash said:
I didn't understand why Bakinson wasn't brought on for Anderson when we were leading, to give fresh legs in midfield.Southbank said:
Yes. We had Jones, Camara and Aneke out for this match. Any one of them would have been better than the subs we actually used.Covered End said:
But all our subs made us worse.DOUCHER said:
Well i know its easy to say in hindsight but to change your whole style of play - and revert to an error strewn style that we had moved on from - because our kicks wouldn't be going as far as we might want, was the wrong call - as was leaving anderson on - nobody is perfect, not even NJ and i'm 100% behind him - but they were 2 decisions he got wrong - anyway, on to cheltenham - wins like at derby felt doubley sweet because they've been so hard to come by and we've shot ourselves in the foot so often - lets get back to minimal risk football and hopefully get some consecutive wins in the bag and start looking to the summer and next season.Callumcafc said:
Suspect the wind conditions that were spoken about on Charlton TV had something to do with.DOUCHER said:we started passing it out from the keeper at the back in the second half - pretty sure that's the first time we've done that under NJ and i'm pretty sure that's the first 'gift' we've given under NJ - the 2 things aren't unrelated if u ask me - hopefully NJ tells them that its not to happen again - can only assume it was an instruction at half time - i hope we don't see it again - also think anderson should have been hooked at half time - looked like it was one game too many for him - just hoping chucks is fit for tuesday coz ladapo has been one big disappointment - coventry, reg, gillesphy and small all looking like good additions
Don’t kick it into the wind and have goal kicks come up 20 yards short is probably not the worst strategy to employ. Bit us in the arse in an obvious way but the majority of the half we completely negated any sort of potential pressure of not being boxed into our own half by not kicking it long into the wind.
So if we'd subbed Anderson for Campbell at HT we may well have lost.0 -
I'd rather develop a talent like Karoy Anderson than rely on 22yr olds that can't get anywhere near Brighton's first team.4

Don’t say that too loud. If we were in the market for a centre mid, Leonard might not be a bad prospect.MarcusH26 said:I'd rather develop a talent like Karoy Anderson than rely on 22yr olds that can't get anywhere near Brighton's first team.6 -

That’s outrageous!! I hope we’ve sent a letter of apologyCallumcafc said:“When we came to the Valley a few weeks ago Charlton rolled over and let us tickle their tummy and now they don’t let us do that and I’m upset by it”

Dobson used to stand out because of his willingness to get stuck in. Now the whole side does it to the extent that Dobbo does not have to play every game.
In a relegation struggle that is a huge improvement.11 -
Anyone would think they don't like it up'em Mr Mannering.
(With apologies to anyone under 60 years old for the outrageously dated popular culture metaphor)2 -
Yeah it's not so much that Dobson has got worse but more like everyone else has (finally) started matching his energy. The issue is that if his running and effort aren't his unique selling point any more... what is?Southbank said:Dobson used to stand out because of his willingness to get stuck in. He's not a regular goal scorer. He's got a decent pass on him but not really a deep playmaker type. He doesn't normally venture forwards with the ball (probably under instructions to be fair.)
I'm not criticising him, like I say the other players really should have been doing more well before Jones finally managed to get them going. Hopefully he (like Alfie) just needs a bit of a rest and can come back firing on all cylinders.5
