    This pitch was as bad for the Belgium game a few days ago. Can’t believe it’s this bad for a major tournament.

    Three more games on this surface in the tournament: Switzerland v Germany, Slovakia v Romania and a round of 16 game that will probably involve Portugal.

    Absolute mess in the midfield. Bellingham is a passenger, I genuinely can't remember the last time I saw Trent and Rice has too much to do. We really need to bin the Alexander-Arnold experiment, he's just not got the positioning or the aggression needed

    Absolutely terrible giveaway by Kane for the goal. Absolute schoolboy basics not to pass sideways blindly in that 40 to 50 yard area from your own goal - just asking for the ball to be intercepted and an outcome like that.
