Promotion 4 times I guess.iaitch said:Has he actually won anything in his managerial career?
But then half the time he's got teams relegated first.
So Blackpool for the League 2 title next year.1 -
Maybe he's trying to manage 92 clubs in his career.1

He won the yard of gravy contest at Wigan.iaitch said:Has he actually won anything in his managerial career?0 -

The former Tranmere and Shrewsbury striker was on the verge of joining the La Liga champions to work under boss Carlo Ancelotti, with the switch subject to a work permit.

which was rejected .. yet any old Carlos, Pierre or Ludwig seems to be able to sign for an English club in any league irrespective of their status as a 'top class' footballer .. I have highlighted this before, what are the rules used by the British Government to ascertain if a foreign footballer is good enough to qualify for a work permit ? .. does anybody know ?clive said:fenaddick said:Not a manager but Stockport County are going to lose their assistant manager to Real Madrid!

There are rules and they actually did put huge restrictions in place which is why teams now have ESC places for people who don't meet the threshold. I think they're enforced by the FA rather than the govLincsaddick said:

Ian Evatt at Bolton now surely on borrowed time.3

Bizarre what's happened to Evatt and Bolton so far this season. Superb for us though to be 9 points above them!4

Last couple of times he has jumped ship for a “better job” he has fallen flat on his face. He needs to stop where he is and rebuild his reputation. And it is only fan noise at this stage.Paddy Powell said:

Most clubs don’t really sign managers from other clubs. Most are either out of contract managers, or the assistant manager who step ups. Usually too expensive with the compensation that need to be paid.0

Thought I read he supported Spurs.Fortune 82nd Minute said:

Sounds like a massive Cardiff fan reading that, and they will undoubtedly sack their manager soon. Don't like the reading of that at all.
With Luton I think there's nothing to worry about, that reads like he'd want the switch if they approach.0 -
Surely the Bolton job will soon be advertised in job centre's all over Lancashire.1
-
What worries me is the fact that he's still living apart from his family, that cant be satisfactory long term surely.0
-
Given that he's a fan he'd certainly have a tough decision to make if offered the job but i do agree with you. He's twice left for a better job and it hasn't worked. He's currently got a good thing going here and Cardiff are a club who look to be in a right mess. It's not impossible that the 2 clubs swap divisions next season.Brownie12 said:

So if he has any sense he'd surely say thanks but no thanks.2 -
Why would he go to Cardiff?. They are only three places above us 😉6
-
Just about to spend a week in Greece with my bestie who is a massive Cardiff fan. So I will be finding out the latest on what’s occurring there.
Sounds like the owner has lost interest.0 -
For anyone who hasn't seen the goal they conceded in their 4-0 defeat yesterday: https://x.com/CameronJeromeFC/status/1835000923350835282tangoflash said:Surely the Bolton job will soon be advertised in job centre's all over Lancashire.
Then Evatt in his post-match interview seemed to be blaming the fans for "huge negative energy" since their play-off defeat.
Surely been L1's most under-performing manager with the squad he's had at his disposal and now they're imploding. Can't see him lasting much longer.6 -
