If they’re idiotic enough to do that then more fool them. Without Jones we’re down. The team is moulded in his image. No other manager is going to get a better tune out of these players than him.CH4RLTON said:I think giving the fact we have a few tricky fixtures to start off and the fact we are clearly behind schedule fitness wise I do think it is inconceivable that we take a couple of heavy
losses early and Jones will be right under it the off4 -
Pay peanuts you get monkeys
the board aren’t backing NJ after the money wasted last season
he’s not lasting the season unless he performs a miracle

One thing that's for sure, if he does end up getting sacked this season, it won't impact his stock. Anyone that follows this league and understands the quality of the other sides knows the job he has at hand.
I think anyone predicting us anywhere above 19th-20th is absolutely bonkers. If he can get us 21st, he will be undeniably one of the greatest managers we have ever had. Good luck to him.4 -
We were two signings away from a great season after Colchester!PeaksAndValleys said:Lol can't believe this thread has popped back up after a pre season friendly2 -
Absolutely insane that anyone would even be thinking along these lines now. I think we’ll get relegated this season, I don’t think it will be Jones’ fault.

No way has this pre season gone as NJ was hoping, the signings don’t match what he was saying he wanted and was waiting for, has Jim let him down?0

Or he’s let himself downSword65pf said:No way has this pre season gone as NJ was hoping, the signings don’t match what he was saying he wanted and was waiting for, has Jim let him down?2 -
So far he’s not been backed. Net spend of less than 2m in this league gets you relegated.1

With what he has been saying since coming back to preseason about quality over quantity and the positions he wants to improve, he’s pretty much saying what most of us think,I don’t see how once he’s told Rodwell and the board his wishes what more he can do, they knew this season was going to be harder, have they got the stomach to give NJ the best chance to be able to compete? The talk was quite bullish when talking about moving forward but the actions are a bit less so, time still left but the the longer it takes the harder our season will be.AberystwythAddick said:

They will lose more money going down than spending to have a go at a play-off spot.0

They must know this though, so what’s they’re thinking? Not really getting what they are doing at the moment, or are we over thinking things?.ElfsborgAddick said:They will lose more money going down than spending to have a go at a play-off spot.0
