The luge and the skeleton are mental. Think it gets to like 90mph.
The first person to do it must of just tripped, fell and slid down a bob sleigh track head first and then it gets turned into an Olympic event.4 -
The hockey is going to be amazing. Tkachuk got battered by Hagel this week in the NHL, I don't think he'd start a fight in the Olympics, but you never know - he is that stupid. Canada looks unbeatable, but goaltending for them is a problem. Sneaking feeling that Sweden might win it.0
-
Why are Americans so embarrassing? USA bloke comes down the luge and his team mates start doing rock hand signles whilst sticking their tongues out2
-
Finland won it last time didn't they? are they not as good anymore?Leroy Ambrose said:The hockey is going to be amazing. Oh but I did read the NHL players are allowed to play this year so guessing it would mean USA and Canada should be the strongest.0 -
Any good Winter Olympics on tonight?0

Snowboarding big air atm. Just don't listen to commentary, plus don't look at the pretentious first names a lot of the competitors have.1

I never get all the gangsta signs either from SnowboardersKarim_myBagheri said:Snowboarding big air atm. Just don't listen to commentary, plus don't look at the pretentious first names a lot of the competitors have.0 -
It's weird, i know it does have skate board vibes but they really need to realise they never grew up in east LA in the 1970s or 80s. Far from it in fact..ForeverAddickted said:

Watching the Big Air. These commentators are being rather personal talking about the size of the competitors backsides.2
-
I know I've already said but am really enjoying the drone shots. I noticed they were doing it on the luge track... Difficult but impressive that they manage to do that.2

Yeah - NHL players make a massive difference - like NBA players in the basketball at the summer Olympics. Finland are still strong, but they don't have the depth the Canadians, Swedes and Yanks have. Czechia are a good team tooKarim_myBagheri said:

It’s pretty revolutionary. You get a much better idea of speed, height and dangerKarim_myBagheri said:I know I've already said but am really enjoying the drone shots. I noticed they were doing it on the luge track... Difficult but impressive that they manage to do that.2 -
I dunno - I got a pretty good idea of the danger the first time I saw it when I realised it was the equivalent of sliding down a frozen waterchute on a tea tray. Mega drone shots though, for sure.fenaddick said:

I first saw it earlier for the skiing freestyle and to see them in the air whilst the valley and the mountains are in the background just made it look so impressive. But yeah as you say you get more of an idea of what they are kinda of experiencing.fenaddick said:

It must take some bloody good skill to control the drone and get the right shots too - I use one myself for Photography, and they're bloody fast to try and control the lower it is2
-
Yeah that's why the luge one was so good. Skill to follow along that very tight track.ForeverAddickted said:It must take some bloody good skill to control the drone and get the right shots too - I use one myself for Photography, and they're bloody fast to try and control the lower it is1 -
Ouch that was a big hit for the Japanese rider going for the 2340.1

I spend most of my time trying to work out where the puck is..ForeverAddickted said:Love the commentary during the Ice Hockey whilst showing a toddler"It must be difficult for them to understand whats going on" - To be fair I'm 42, and I dont have a f**king clue about the rules either1 -
Never been a fan of Snowboard, apart from the Cross competition - But that was really fun to watch!!0

Such a shame for Lindsay Vonn2

It is but it was also incredibly predictable, dangerous and selfishForeverAddickted said:Such a shame for Lindsay Vonn1 -
🤞 It's not as serious as it looked and sounded with her screaming in agony.ForeverAddickted said:Such a shame for Lindsay Vonn0 -
My thoughts exactly. Selfish to even try.fenaddick said:

Absolute nonsense. There's nobody else in the US women's setup anywhere near the podium. She was the only one with a chance of a medal. What should she do - pull out to give somebody else a chance of getting tenth?MrOneLung said:

A US athlete won gold and is the world champion, what do you mean no one else is anywhere near the podium?Leroy Ambrose said:
