    Five medals in total, which if I've remembered right matches our best-ever total number. Given that among that we've got multiple golds for the first time ever, this is our best ever winter games however you look at it.

    A shame some of our other medal hopes didn't come off, but most of these sports are high-risk where it's easy for favourites to miss out so we'd never expect to win everything we were in with a shout of.

    Great stuff from Team GB.

    A couple of 4th places too, it’s not impossible we could be hitting double figures for medals relatively soon

    Loads of time left - great goal by Boldy (extremely underrated player) - but Binnington always going to be the weak link in this team. Love to see the physicality - it's often what's missing from the Olympics when the NHL aren't there.

    Hoping Canada's second and third line can get it going - been anonymous for most of that period. Impossible to underestimate the absence of Crosby. Literally the glue that holds the team together. 

    The speed is something else though. Tight neutral zone means rushes grt into the offensive zone so quickly it's pretty breathless.

    To my untrained eye, the Canadian decision making has been poor. 

    That 5v3 power play was shocking. 

    Am off to Romford Raiders v Sheffield Steeldogs after this.

    Yeah - I think they suffer on the pp from having too many 'go to' players. On their teams, Makar, McDavid and Celebrini would all be the #1. 5 on 3 is weird too - quite often you see teams struggle with it as the opponent collapses, making it really a game of patience, trying to move the side to side to get an open lane for a shot. You can see they looked much more comfortable in the 5 on 4 - the onus on the yanks is to come out a little more and press, leaving more space.

    Great period from Canada - totally controlled it for almost 20 minutes - but an absolute bum squeaker at the end there 😳

    The failure to call the too many men penalty was criminal. Especially as basically the next play Canada were penalized for an unlucky and unintentional high stick.
