Five horses were killed on British racecourses over the weekend.
Three of those fatalities occurred at Ascot on Saturday.
February's death toll rises to fourteen.

  • People who leave out the word to.....either written or spoken.
    i.e.......Are you going Fleetwood......or He’s gone Fleetwood.
Very lazy and shabby if you ask me!😤😠🤔
Agree, it’s the first step on the road wrack and ruin
  • Negativity about a game before a ball is kicked.

One game at a time chaps, can't criticise what hasn't happened yet.

Too much of an urge to say: "I told you so" in any walk of life it seems these days

Its bloody depressing though and drags you down

As I like to think, if people want to be miserable then be miserable on your own, no need to drag others down!!
  • Not so bad if they hold their hands up when they get it wrong, rather than hiding...
  • Free Market economics: Continuing the disparity between the affluent and the vulnerable poor. (Lots of people voted for this).

I paid off best part of a mortgage in rent before fortunately getting my own place.  Market rent higher than my mortgage.

    Crazy situation.

  • Dont let it annoy you that the starting 11 doesnt excite me chaps. It's simply a pre match opinion. Fingers crossed at the end of the game they have proved many of us wrong 🤞

When you try to be positive but Bowyer and the boys ruin it for you.

I would happily accept a reduction in services if those that did run were on time, clean and comprised of more carriages.

If you read the article, it makes some sense. What they need to make sure of is they run sufficient trains for demand - which seems to be the aim, but... The trouble is they need to keep making big profits from the commuters and government subsidies.
  • The British Horseracing Authority tweeted on Friday evening about British racing's "excellent safety record". The tweet, which did not mention fatalities, was issued after fifteen racehorses had died on British courses this month and was in response to criticism from animal advocates.

The death toll has increased this weekend.

    Saturday 27th February, Kempton Park:
    Southfield Stone  fell, and died.

    Sunday 28th February, Hereford:
    Exploiteur  fell, and died.

  • Can we not have a separate thread for these updates?
  • The talking heads on Channel 5 Saturday night "Kiss a Royal Arse Programme" pontificating about the Royal Family. How they are all good sports, and have there finger on the pulse.
When in fact they are just self entitled spoilt lazy, pains in the backside.
  • Previous attempts have been subject to vile abuse and, when I was not deterred, censorship (i.e. threads being 'sunk', so that they disappear from view).

    Another fatality occurred today.

All so people can bet and lose their money to the bookies.
    Horses - victims
Punters at risk of addiction - victims.
    Bookies - winners.

    Chelsea v Atletico Women.

    Chelsea player sent off.

On more than one occasion Jules Warren and Sue Smith on Sky refer to Chelsea being reduced to 10 ‘players’.

Why on earth are they not reduced to 10 women akin to a team in a man’s game being  reduced to 10 men?
  • World book day at school.
  • I hope the Police/CPS treat any accidents where prisoners slip over clumsily and get the mothers beaten out of them in a CCTV blackspot with equal lightness.

  • The Facebook Portal advert in which the daughter talks about her nipples. Shocking to have such erogenous language on the telly box before the watershed.
