Interesting to read some of our early season predictions!
Red Sox start a 3 game series in the Bronx tonight!! With the AL East already in the bag will the Yankees be up for it?? Red Sox just 2 games in front of the Rays in race for wild card, but only 6 to play. Exciting times..
In the NL wild card race the Braves have also blown a big lead, with the cardinals now only 2 games back. Sad to see the Giants falter.
Rays are just as srummy as the Sox lately - win 2 out of 3 against the Yankmees and they'll get the WC. Unfortunately, that's as far as they'll go, as they'll get mullered in the ALDS
Guys, any recommendations for decent baseball websites? I always get really into it when I visit my sister in the states, but struggle to keep up with things once I leave.
Getting nervous for my Atlanta Braves who seem to be very Charlton like in the fact that they never make things easy for themselves! Massive week coming up starting tonight at Washington - GO BRAVES!
@dabos as HI says MLB is the best place, I pay about £10 a month for MLB TV, can watch every single game no contract can cancel anytime if you are away for a while or just depressed because your team is doing so bad. All in HD online and if you have a PS3 you can watch it on that although not technically allowed in the UK but there are ways round this ;-)
If you don't want to pay there are a few streaming sites people on here use for boxing etc. that have most games.
Red Sox Yanks postponed tonight due to rain, I'm guessing a double header at some point this weekend, didn't need that at all. Lets hope the Jays do us a favour.
Currently fuming in my NYC hotel, came out this weekend, got some stub hub tickets for this weekends series, damn you rain, and I missed football for a fiver for this. Hmm, spose I better go out and get wasted.
The MLB app on the IPAD is just great, all games, every day, it's a ball game orgy.
ESPN America combined with "normal" ESPN shows a lot of games, although sometimes their choices are a bit frustrating.
Big Sox fan, although the last few weeks have been nothing short of a horror show.
@fatkit do you get a refund or are your tickets still valid for the re-scheduled game? I see its on Sunday after the afternoon game now. Very jealous you are there now, a dream of mine to see the Red Sox win in the Bronx.
Yanks looking like they will complete the sweep tonight (currently 3-0 bottom of 1st) if they do Boston and Tampa level in the wildcard, if that is the same at the end of the season there will be a 1 game playoff for the playoffs at Tropicana field. This run they are on is incredible, thrown away a 9 game lead since start of September. As has been mentioned earlier probably won't make much difference if they do get into post season play.
Indeed they did win the second game yesterday. Went to the 14th when Ellsbury hit a 3 run homer. If it wasn't for him they would be in a much worse situation. I am far too tired today for staying up for that but my word it is worth it.
Sat up and watched that 'til the bottom of 12th, they were fast running out of pitchers. Had a feeling boston would snatch it. So an interesting final 3 games. Will the Yankees turn up against the Rays??!! Interesting scenario. That said, can't see Boston losing series to Baltimore, even in Baltimore...
Bermuda, last week the Orioles won 3 out of 4 at Fenway. I think it is entirely possible Boston can and probably will lose that series. I think it will come down to whether the Rays sweep the Yanks or not.
The Braves have totally choked, this will be the biggest ever turn around in September if the Cardinals pip them to the post. Atlanta is a city in panic right now. Us Charlton fans out here (that'll be just me then) will be used to the feeling of victory being denied when you thought you were home and dry!
Pretty much the ultimate in end of season collapses for the Red Sox. Lost out on the wild card in the final round of games -they should have had their place in the post season wrapped up weeks ago.
Serious underachievement when you look at some of the personnel they have in that side.
Oh well, now I just have to cheer on anyone who plays the Wankees.
And the Cards take the NL wild card with an 8 - 0 over the Astros. 10.5 games behind the Braves a few weeks ago and here they are in the play-offs. Phillis statistically best team this season but Cardinals showed in recent series that they can beat them.
162 games and the sox go out to 12th innings walk off win by the Rays who were7, yes 7 down. So the yanks some how lose and oh look! The sox hit the dirt.

Still think it's the Philis WS to lose.
All the official team sites shows video clips of games the next day.
EPSN on TV if you want to watch it live or recorded.

COYR
Cardinals win, Braves lose. 1 game in it.
Holy Cow.
Go Cards
Current standings in wild card races
Looks like Red Sox won the 2nd of a double header so one game ahead.
Cards need to sweep the Astros and hope the Braves don't do the same to the Philies
Am I right that they can't play the wild card team if they are from the same division.
So it's all square in WC race in AL East!! Rays won v NYY and redsox lost!
Cards rally from 0 - 5 down to win 13 - 6
One game left for all four sides.

Henry,
How do I get the blue box when I quote someone?
So the yanks some how lose and oh look! The sox hit the dirt.
Fix!
