West ham almost certain to go down

With West ham, Millwall and Palace all in the same division it makes me even more gutted that we wont be there. Would have had 6 big london derbies to look forward to, hopefully we can join em next season.

I see Wolves won 3-1 away at Sunderland today.

According to the Beeb website, Sunderland were missing 10 first-team players.

Talk about lending Wolves a helping hand !

    @oggy

    thats due to injuries !!

well at least the west ham fans are getting the excitement that curbs couldn't provide  them with by guiding them to 10th in the premiership

Be interesting to see what team Utd put out at home to Blackpool next weekend. Anyway, West Ham look doomed, which has cheered me up a bit.

the only downside of west ham going down is that it will make millwall fans happy and those scumbags deserve nothing in life but misery

    how comes we're getting it!

Are Gold & Sullivan, the first owners to take two different clubs down?

    Nice generalisation..

Despite relegation they still won't be in the same division as us, so I can't say I'm all that bothered. Having said that, how much financial trouble are they headed for, having agreed to move into the Olympic stadium?
  • Not down yet of course but it's ironic that they are reaping the 'benefit' of Sunderland playing a weakened side given that they've been fortunate to have been on the other side of that equation on more than one occassion in the past.

Round to the old man's tomorrow to watch his team get relegated - shouldn't be happy I suppose.....but I will be :-)

Difference is though that Sunderland's side was legitimately weakened through injuries not through resting players.
  • Wouldn't have cared in this case if they'd have put the womens team out Large!

It's taken a few years but maybe some natural justice has caught up with 'em over the Tevez affair and the lies they told to the FA.

Yep boring curbs eh finished 10th with them and they have struggled since he left. Suprises me that he can't get a job in the premierleague after hes records and achievements, seems people just don't like he's style of football and it comes above everything else.

  • I hate West Ham. I'm glad they weren't relegated today I want it to happen while they are at a game so that I can see the fans' faces when the relegation is confirmed.

The Tevez affair and the Olympic stadium being 'given' to them so that they can sell the Boleyn to pay off their over spending has hurt them. They used to be many fans second team and I think that has changed.

I would love them to be stuck in the second division, or even fall into the third, then play in that massive stadium with it less than half full. It could even be less than a third full if they are out of the Premier League for a few seasons.

It is a little bit of cheer in an otherwise miserable season for me.

I don't mind West Ham. Better than Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea in my book.

Re: Gold and Sullivan - you may be right, but I thought maybe Peter Ridsdale with Leeds and Plymouth? Or was he just chairman rather than owner?

I don't hate West Ham but like others my affection for them has dwindled in recent years to the point I'm pleased they are going down . They used to represent everything good about the beautiful game . I really believed until last week that they were 'too good to go down' but then I felt the same in 02/03 .

We had a lucky escape last year when the Porn Barons and the delightful Ms Brady did not pitch up at the Valley and choose Upton Park . On the plus side I think our former loanee Matty Fry may get his chance now .

  • I've always disliked West Ham because of their fans being arrogant twats.  Similarly, I've always disliked Palace, but not minded Millwall as much, because I had a lot of friends who were Millwall fans when I was growing up.

I wonder if Leyton Orient fans are looking for kings hill addick's prediction to come true, so they can feel some poetic justice about the Olympic Stadium debacle.

I hate Millwall, our local neighbours, I don't mind West Ham but feel some kind of justice has been done.

I feel nothing about Crystal at all, unless we're playing them

Will West Ham still move if they go down?

Yeah, West Ham will move regardless of what league they're in. Would've loved to be in the championship next season. :(

All three will still be there the year after, when we come up more prepared to burst their bubbles!

  • Been crying my eye's out all day. Just can't stop laughing. First bit of good news in three years!
Now we'll find out just how much Scotty Parker loves them.

They've had it coming and it looks like it has arrived.

They were lucky with the Tevez stuff and treated Curbs appallingly as  was confirmed by the tribunal eventually.

    No sympathy from me.

Parker will be out of the shower like a flash, and running up to Avram in the players' bar to ask about a transfer, with his hair still dripping wet.

Avram will probably say " dunno anything about it, i've just been fired myself"
