The South Eastern website is a liar. "Good service" on every line? I have never, ever got on a South Eastern train and thought "this is a good service".
The problem for Southeastern trains is that there is only a very limited number of lines beyond London Bridge to Cannon St & Charing Cross. Nothing much they can do to alleviate the problems, just make the signalling more efficient. Sadly, this means you're stuck with rising fares knowing that they will be able to make f**k all in the way of improvements to your journey.
In fact, I wonder if that could form the basis of a legal challenge to fare rises in specific areas of special difficulty in making timetable improvements? Because those poor sods are, in fact, subsidising profits to an even greater degree than somewhere improvements might actually be a realistic (if unlikely) goal.
I just happened to pick up a copy of UK Railways Today in the doctor's waiting room last week (Honest gov) and it gave the answer to how Network rail will make the track more efficient between New Cross and London Bridge.
Apparently they are creating .. wait for it.. a 'dive under' a technical railway term no doubt.
It seems that where the good trains used to go down into what was the Bricklayers Arms depot will be reopened and SouthEastern train will travel down there, and pop up the other side of the Thameslink trains which will pass overhead just north of South Bermondsey station. Thus all trains are in the right position when they leave London Bridge at Borough Market Junction.

Simple Pimple.
For Charlton fans this is like reading Megan Fox will be doing naked scenes in her new movie.

Classic Simpsons line there "Moon Pie eh, what a time to be alive"
Proper shit show this evening. To be fair, it has been quite wet today, hardly the sort of weather you expect to see in England.
Anyway, bless them - they have apologised for any inconvenience this may cause, so that makes it all okay.
Utter c#%ts. Give me 5 minutes in a locked room with one of the South Eastern Managers - you would be amazed how much pain I can inflict with a strategically folded "Delay Repay" leaflet.
Took me an extra hour to get home tonight... Cos of signal problems at Gravesend i got chucked off the trains at Dartford and Gravesend as I tried to get home to Strood!!

Seems to be fine on the SouthEastern website
They're fine now at 7.20pm
Dragged myself out of bed an hour early to get to work an hour early, ended up getting in 15 minutes early. I hate you, I hate you, I hate you.
Looks like we're going to arrive at Charing Cross just shy of the 30 mins delay repay and thus can't claim back. Bastards.
