Two games played in Joe's best position of CB. He won't get the RB spot from Alexander Arnold so he needs to prove that he is the CB to partner Van Dijk.

A very good game from Joe. Fulsome praise for his performance on NBC from Robbie Earle and - especially - Robbie Mustoe, both of whom feel that he has a great chance to nail down that position.

too early to consider that at the moment. Think Stones and Laporte could have a good pairing, as are the Belgians at Spurs

Love the crowd noises in this clip.

First you hear the stripey excitement because their golden boy looks like he’s through on goal...
Then they all react in unison after the tackle because surely anyone taking the ball off Zaha’s toes is an instant foul...
Lastly, the whole stadium quickly realise there wasn’t a foul at all and Gomez has Zaha in his pocket...

The only part of his game he needs to work on is giving away silly fouls but he's still young so that will soon come .

I said exact same to a mate, lacks a physical and aerial presence and also maybe a bit of a nasty streak but he's still young so can learn.

Going to be an England regular for another 10 years or so I think.

I agree that he needs to be a little more aggressive in the air, but otherwise, he has it all.

Good luck to him, got the potential to be the best academy player to ever come through the club.

He’s been really unlucky in his short career with so many injuries.

IMO he would have gone to both Euros 16 and WC 18 if it wasn’t for injuries. Would love to see him make it through this season playing 40+ matches without getting injured.

If he can stay fit I think Gomez will become a certainty in England squad, like Alli, Stones etc for the next 10 years.
