One thing I have just seen is that Ryan Davies, on his debut, actually didn't concede a single bye in Derbyshire's innings. Makes up a bit for his duck.
In addition to that, though, the team didn't concede a single extra of any description. Wouldn't have though that that happens too often.

Seven and a bit sessions to get 232. There is allegedly nothing wrong with the pitch so they just have to wait for the inevitable bad ball and punish it.
Job done.
A shame the batsmen woefully failed to support an excellent performance by the bowlers to dismiss Derbyshire cheaply. It is asking a lot to expect another.

1st ball of the second innings..... 4 leg byes
It's a gift. I could cause a train to be delayed by two hours if I needed it to arrive on time!
The reason Kent are going to finish bottom or close to the bottom of the division is due to a lack of consistency not from match to match but during each match ! They could well have chucked it away with a lamentable second innings batting display.

Lead of 215 and probably time for Sam Northeast (19*) to bat like he has been in T20s rather than wait around for the inevitable to happen.
Derbyshire need 232 to win.
6-1
