He's not having a great start to the year in the limited overs stuff.. He has looked but hot out early on.. you feel a big one is only round the corner though! And he has been in exceptional form in the championship!
Sunday promises to be a great experience for Seb when he and his team mates in the Kent U12s take on their Surrey counterparts at The Oval.
Two games will be going on simultaneously with an U11 game going on at the same time either side of netting placed on the middle of the square. The boys will get to change in the same changing rooms as all those International heroes of bygone eras and will have their photos taken as a memory of the occasion too.
As much as Surrey are maligned by us, the fact that they do this every three years is a great gesture by them especially when, anyone who has ever belonged to a club knows only too well, groundsmen are particularly nervous about anything other than top level games being played on their hallowed turf!

Back from The Oval & a great day had by all despite a defeat to Surrey. Kent scored 143-7 off 40 overs and Surrey reached their target with five overs to spare and four wickets in hand.
Seb opened the batting, saw off a very good opening attack and despite his somewhat diminutive stature even hit a six!

Superb batting by Kent tonight, and I loved the way they expressed such self belief after Essex posted 173. Always good to beat our rivals from across the bridge; and it will be even better if we can turn Surrey over tomorrow night. 1StevieG and I will be there.
Pleased for Blakey that he got the winning runs. I was sat at my cricket club (Beckenham) watching which is Blakey's club so it was a nice moment, big cheers from everyone in there.

Sam is batting at number 7
Surrey , oops, Jason Roy goes first ball
Sorry, canters. Shouldn't have posted that.

And well done, Seb.
Great innings from Sam Northeast, ably partnered by Daniel Bell-Drummond.
SO good to see our team of young guns more than matching a far more experienced eleven from across the Bridge.
Just as enjoyable was the co-commentating of Fat Rob. Would love to hear him alongside Bumble & Tuffers !
Bring on Surrey tomorrow evening !
( That's the kiss of death!)
Yay !!
Easy, easy.....you northern muppets !;-)
Remember to text nephew in morning to remind him to refer to us as Mighty Kent in the Essex dressing room.
D B-D and Northeast absolutely sensational.
