Totally agree. I'm thousands miles away from the scene yet I can't stand seeing the club be run in this way. On football forums and social media websites in China there were a few people asking me what has happened to Charlton, why have we fallen so dramatically since September. I used my limited time after work to translate the city am piece in Chinese and put it on forums and websites. I have to say the translation process was difficult, not because of the language side of things (I was very good at writing at school) but because of the contents - sad to read and sadder to read intensively and then translate.

A couple of things struck me as very poor on KM's part.
The quote re: the managers. Each had the desired effect with the upsurge in form, but until they were sacked. Everyone else has picked up on it, but she's basically saying all we've done is made short term appointments that haven't worked out. She couldn't really have said anything more silly IMO. When a club goes through 5 managers in 2 years, you have to hold your hands up and say you've got it wrong. You shouldn't be appointing managers to rectify the short term failings of others, who can only last a handful of games. It's mental.
The other comment was re: the finances. In her attempt to defend investment in the team, she was keen to talk about the £9m spent plus 40% increase in player wages. She's shot herself in the foot because if that's the case, why are we in the same position in the League as we were when they took over. If someone gave me a significant investment in say my career, put me on an MBA or something, and two years from now I was still in the same job, then something's gone seriously wrong. Might not be a good comparison, but that's how I see it.
I think the anti Belgian stuff in the protest hasn't worked in our favour, in fact I cringe at how that sort of thing might come across in things like the Belgian press. RD/KM could've grown up on Floyd rd for all I care, it is about their mismanagement, not their nationality. She's seen that as an opportunity to throw it back on us, when it should be about them.
Sounds like KF will be given the job full time. Especially given JJ was there to espouse his impact. The problem is I seem to remember talk of GL's impact.
On the whole I'm disappointed wit how it panned out given what I've heard and seen in the tweets etc.

So I'm pretty clear now that from the club's point of view, this is firmly in the 'not' camp given the increased negative response as part of the reporting, so they can put this down as yet another poor decision.

I am hoping the film of the meeting reflects the reality of it pretty well to those who weren't there. In a meeting the ebb and flow, the rhythms and context influence the participants. A meeting can become an isolated and heated cockpit which can forget the outside world temporarily. You only need to look at Question Time to realise for that moment the participants get a strange intensity, and for a moment think what they say is overarchingly important and they are changing the world, that of course is until the next week when the programme pitches up in Harrogate or Elgin or wherever. My point is that you do get caught up in the moment in a meeting, and then it passes. The advantage of Question Time is we get to see and hear it. We see facial expressions, body language, hear tones of voices, all alongside the content itself. A lot of people have allowed the reporting of the meeting as it happened over the Internet to make their minds up, and such second hand reportage misses a lot of stuff. I had no idea when in the meeting the degree of passion being aroused by the reporting of it. Again I would advise those interested to watch the film of it in order to have a more rounded view and to be better informed. However it was a long meeting, so it will take quite a dedicated person to watch it all through. It will be very easy to criticise those who participated, and personally I accept criticism against my contribution (although I would prefer it to be about whatever I said, the other aspects like my age, hair colour and personal appearance are too easy targets), but I suggest folk try to imagine themselves in the moment in the meeting, and to try to put hindsight to one side when making judgements. Either way watching it seems wiser than making up your mind based on twits from twitter.

Can't say that I really agree with the idea that there is any professional calculation in the reporting of three different local media sources. The quotes are the story.
