What about the last 2 seasons when every fan could see the new foreign players coming in were not cut out for the championship. They should have learnt last time and addressed with a mix last summer.
he has worked in this country long enough to know what is needed to get out of this league or at least challenge in it.
They have had 2 season (ok 2 halves and 1 full affectively) to learn this and we noticed it from day one, so how can a professional football club not realise this?

Funnily enough, most of what RM says is true (or I hope it is).
But the problems that need addressing are those of the manager (we need one who isn't called Karel Fraeye); and a CEO who doesn't seem to have views that contradict everything that RM has just said! There are no mention of either in the interview...
If RM was in charge, and came out with this statement, and it was him who was going to put it all right, I'd be a little happier. But he has no call in how the lair communicates with us fans, or which players we might sign (or sell!), so in the end this is just all bullsh!t.
We have to keep on protesting and causing embarrassment until the puppet has enough teeth to say something to the fans who pay a third of her wages...

It's obvious Murray would not have said a word but for Saturday. He has been brought out to try to appease fans with comments about how much RD cares and how grateful we all should be to him. Sorry, but that bird has flown and Murray himself no longer has credibility. Too late in the day, the club has decided on a PR strategy to show how caring and cuddly they are.5

I have just read the Murray interview and he has made an even bigger fool of himself. My jaw was on the table as he explained the mistakes made. As a businessman and a Charlton fan with supposedly years of English football knowledge I am in shock! Shame on him.6

Read the statement and in isolation it is fine.
Admits to mistakes, talks about plans, explains policy and hints at change.
However......
It comes in the context of protests and Varneygate, both of which are ignored.
It contradicts much of what has been said publicly by the CEO very recently.
The telling remark is that Roland admits that they underestimated the championship.
That is true but they have now done that three times ie Jan 14, summer 14 and summer 15. So what evidence is there of them having learnt from those mistakes
None whatsoever.
The other irony, for me although I fear it will go right over the CEO'S head, is that they are now doing what was originally called for by the Spell it Out campaign. Explain and communicate.
Which Richard would have understood. He would, I believe, have seen those aims as reasonable. Katrien, such is her lack of self confidence, could only see them as a personal attack on her competence and as, to quote her,"inciting a riot"
Too little and much too late guys, the love affair is in trouble, the relationship is on the rocks and you need to do a lot, lot more to repair it.

Politicians etc have spin doctors draw up FAQs...frequently asked questions for which 'lines to take' are written up as answers. These are in briefing notes to back up a statement. You don't publish the briefing notes...did they misplace the statement?1
