  • Louis van Gaal has been named the new Dutch Manager for a third time

In his career that is, not today
  • Where did it all go so wrong for Pochettino?

He lost his job at Spurs and has ended up on the scrapheap at PSG on a pauper's wage and in danger of winning trophies with the likes of Neymar, Mbappe and Messi in the side. How he must yearn for the days of being in the company of Daniel Levy.
Dream managers job but also now one with very high pressure.

It's basically like the days of the Galactico's at Madrid, win the Champions league or you're sacked.

The Galactico's of Madrid (when Ronaldo and Beckham signed) never won the CL.

I suspect that the compo might be a bit better than Levy paid though
  • When did Southampton's manager go.
    He hasn’t.
  • When did Southampton's manager go.
If he’s like the rest of us, probably just after his first cup of coffee.
  • Unknown quantity: Liam Manning is the new Milton Keynes Manager

Fun fact... He's managed the same club in Belgium as Karel Fraeye did back in 2016

A typical MKD appointment, Robinson was 29 when he got the job, while Russell Martin was 33. They do tend to go for up and coming coaches
  • Guardiola has apparently said he will leave City at the end of his current contract in 2023.

Wants to take a break and then manage a national team.

  • Gonna love to see who Man City are going to try and target in that time.

Would be fantastic. Southgate has done brilliant for us, but just feel Pep would take the national team to a whole new level and get the best out of the attacking players we have.
  • Nailed on for Spain.

Played for them, didn't win anything other than an Olympic medal.
  • Managing an international team is a very different challenge, as you don't get the time with the players to imbue your style and philosophies. It would definitely have to be a short passing side to start with, rather than a more physical one
  • Ashley Cole is set to be the England U21 Assistant Coach...
    What a role model.,..

    not

He was a bit of dick in his younger years but why is he such a bad role model?  He is pretty well placed to pass on guidance to young players based on his experiences.

bowyer…,affect, McDonalds etc. Has a promotion under his belt and is doing a good job at Birmingham. Scum bag players can make good managers/coaches

Is that the muffled sound of his phone vibrating?
  • Yes it's Cheryl wanting him back.

USA, baby. He has a home in NY and his kids live here. It’s been chatted about for years. He was planning to leave the moment he won the Champions League but it just has not happened.
  • Hughton gone from Forest
  • Nottingham Forest can confirm that Chris Hughton has been relieved of his duties as first team manager.

The club would like to place on record its’ appreciation for Chris’s efforts. Chris joined the club in a difficult period for everyone in football and around the world and we thank him for the way he has conducted himself during his tenure.

  • Shocking start to the season. As they pointed out on Quest, with a 9 points deduction, Derby would still be only 3 points behind Forest!

"For reference, we sacked Dowie on the 13th November" About 10 weeks too late then.
10 weeks!? Shit, too late again this time.
  • I wonder whether this might affect Arter in January.

A new Forest manager may want to recall him if he impresses for us. In his Atlantic interview he didn't rule that scenario out.

It will be interesting to see if he plays in the FA Cup.

Harry Kewell has been sacked by National League Barnet, after just 7 games in charge, which delivered just 2 draws

A bit of a revolving door there this year!
  • He's had four managerial jobs now, maybe another example of good player but not manager?
  • Simply getting ready for when the Aussies takeover ;)
