Fortunately I retired yesterday, so won't have to see him again, until next season, if we're promoted. Sarr sounded immense, and in my opinion should now be first choice to play alongside Pearce when fit. I think he'll provide the attacking threat that Bauer does from corners etc.
And what a bonus having Marshall and Reeves available. Marshall deserves immense praise for getting himself fit about 6 weeks ahead of schedule. Reeves less so, perhaps.

At the match..turgid first 10 mins...by both teams. got our nose in front, and then gifted them a goal from our throw in their half...once we got in front we controlled the game. Great fosu hat trick header left foot right foot, I think. Still in fleet wood celevating and wit dome of their fand. ..they are a decent lot .

Great result, just makes the defeats against Gillingham & Plymouth even more galling, especially as they are the only wins those 2 team s have got so far this season. I know that football is a game of if's & buts - just feel we should be 3 or 4 points better off & sitting pretty in 2nd or 3rd spot.
Out of interest, anyone know why Fosu joined us in the summer rather than stay at Reading ? They were a penalty away from the Prem & we could easily have been in League 2, so was it just about game time or something more involved like a falling out with the manager or another player ?? Just seems strange that he'd want to drop a League.

Credit where it is due, I really enjoyed watching that on the stream, as i did Northampton. Could not say that about any game last season. Fosu may not be the finished article but bloody hell a hat-trick like that is no flash in the pan either, especially given how the Reading fans rated him.

Well quite a lot, actually.Like I said at h-t there is still a soft centre somewhere in defence but I can't work out exactly where or what. But I am talking about this in the context of, are we good enough to go up, whereas last weekend I was starting to think my 8th place prediction was looking optimistic. There was as SDA said, a calmness and authority to our game today that we haven't seen before. I think Sarr had a lot to do with that.
So fair play to Robinson and all of them today , job well done, and playing exciting football too.
Started like a game of chess, clearly under orders to keep it tight and take no risks. Fleetwood is first team recently that hasn't pressed us high up pitch and this played into our hands. Fleetwood really didn't seem up for it at any time. Fosu obviously has to be MOM but Sarr played like he was an International, Jay had their winger in his pocket and Konsa frightened the life out of their defence when he floated at pace past opponents like they weren't there. Josh got little change from the back four but stil created a goal with brilliant work. Their goal was a gift, overplaying in the wrong area. Was a supreme confidence and arrogance throughout team this afternoon. The extra height of Konsa and Sarr made us a lot stronger in defence and might mean Solly will struggle to get his place back.
Fleetwood were poor we were superb. Better at the back with the towering Sarr and Konsa looking very comfortable at right back (he is NOT a reliable central defender)
Everyone had a good game, including Magennis who hardly had a sniff but always kept the Fleetwood defence fully occupied and on their toes. We were lethal in attack and generally assured in defence. Bauer as skipper wore 'the armband' assuredly .. Amos communicated well with the defenders .. midfield and full backs knitted seamlessly, Da Silva was terrific
Fosu ?.. this will be the making of him .. great to see Reeves & Marshall getting some game time .. the squad is now taking shape nicely .. Pearce and Solly were not missed in the slightest .. Ricky Holmes was himself always dangerous ..Kashi was everywhere, a great reader of the game alongside the impressive Forster-Caskey
IF we can maintain this form for the rest of the season we are certs for promotion ... BUT look at the results .. anyone can beat anyone on any given matchday

To score 3 goals at Highbury was such a good fit.
