Interesting insight from him...Scoham said:
It certainly felt as though the Squad were changing formation quite regularly and couldnt work it out at times6 -

Nice to see a Charlton team play a decent bit of football and put some commitment in. Bowyer was right, he promised 100% effort from the players, and they delivered his promise.
Reeves looked a different player. The change in formation (the change that everybody else apart from the previous manager knew needed to happen) worked a treat. JFC was back on it again as well, which is key for us.
Ajose put in a real shift, was unlucky with 2 good attempts on goal. He linked up well and put in a real “team” performance.
And what a belter from Page!
No crap post match huddle either.2 -
Great result,I didn’t see that coming earlier this week. At last a football match to savour, May be Plymouth were not expecting our set up but that’s not taking anything away from our team.
Good to see yesterday’s premiership star and our youth product at The Valley today in charge of our team. Thanks to the current owner predecessors for this. I’d like to see him given a chance to prove himself full time.1 -
What a breath of fresh air that was. JFC was superb defensively Pearce was excellent lets hope this the start of something rather than a strange interlude.3

As a treat, Bowyer's treated the whole team to some Maccy D's in Woolwich.30

There's only one change the new owners need to make immediately they take over, and that is to appoint a Director of Football. That will be easy - the perfect candidate was sitting in the stand today.9

Not new manager bounce imo but a team playing they way they want to. Impressive performance by the whole team.Exiled_Addick said:Couldn’t follow very closely today, so could someone please bring up to speed on what our shape was, who played where and what the general style was?
Seems we finally got a new manager bounce. Wasn’t convinced we would on Thursday but reading Richard Cawley’s article this morning it’s clear KR had become divisive in the dressing room.
Seeing Crawley’s result today and in the last few weeks do don’t exactly excite about the prospect of Kewell coming in next week.4 - Sponsored links:

As good as I've seen Charlton play for a long time, organised, full of commitment, some great skill and two lovely goals.
Please keep that team for next week, the defence was immense today, makes a difference having to good centre half pairing and two good fullbacks.
Onwards and upwards good chance of reaching the play offs on a good run if we keep that up, well done Bowyer and Jacko.5 -
Fooking hell, what a change to see all Charlton in the highlights for a change!!ValleyMick said:4 -
4-4-2 diamond. JFC the deepest midfielder. Aribo and Reeves either side, both appeared on either wing at times. Fosu at the top.Exiled_Addick said:Couldn’t follow very closely today, so could someone please bring up to speed on what our shape was, who played where and what the general style was?

Full backs got forward, especially Page who looked better than I saw of him last season. Zyro was our Yann today, Ajose our BWP.
On style we competed much better. More aggression in the tackle. Not afraid to foul Plymouth in the middle of the pitch to break down a chance of their breakaway.
We have good technical players for this league which showed, yet we mixed it up far more. Played with a higher tempo and if their defence pushed we were willling to try a direct ball into the space behind their centre backs. No more 20 passes at the back before getting it wide for a cross. We were looked far less predictable, so many games under Robinson were very similar.14 -
What a difference a manager makes, so much more pride and passion than the last few months, the Robinson effect being felt by Oxford in the Boat Race - they lost !!0

Today was a good day to be a Charlton fan.
Haven’t said that many times last couple of years.32 -
Certainly didn't see that coming! Defence were superb, thought we basically controlled the game and should have scored more - but I'm happy!1

Not digging him out, but a lot of Anfernee's good challenges were as a result of his own positioning / poor touch. Surprised a few on here have called him as MoM!
Touch and positioning will come with experience as he is clearly a talent.
Promising how he recovered - usually with the ball!
JFC was immense...was a 'captain's' performance. Last 10 games, we need at least 4 'captains' out there.7 -
Christ that Referee was bloody awful... Didnt book the Goalkeeper (I thought that sort of handball was instant Red?) and then didnt give this penalty?
Plymouth had a Free Kick in the First Half which was rubbish; Referee stood motionless for an age after it was taken almost as though he was contemplating the reasons for having them in his bet!!8 -
Can I just add that we were playing against 12 today, that ref was shit.5

All those wasted points over the last few months....6

Wow what a difference a positive outlook makes. Every player played well.
Djiksteel, Page, Reeves, JFC, Ajose & Zyro had their best games for Charlton as did possibly Pearce and Aribo.
Amos, Bauer and Fosu all had good games as well.
If we played like that for the rest of the season we could not only make but also win the play offs.
A massive well done to Bowyer, JJ and all of the team.
A big fat raspberry to, we only have one striker, 4-4-2 doesn't work, Robinson.15 -

First game I've attended since New Year's Day. First game I've enjoyed since longer than I can remember.
Great performance on the pitch and, obviously significantly helped by the performance, a happy Valley and a sense of positivity for the first time in ages. The nightmare is nearly over.6 -

On the player marks I mentioned the save Amos made at 1-0... Completely forgot that Plymouth's next touch was to kick off again @ 2-0

I just said the same to my mrs , I enjoyed today more than I have enjoyed going to Charlton in yearsAFKABartram said:Today was a good day to be a Charlton fan.

It felt the most natural thing to do today to give support to bowyer and jacko and be there for their first game to great players for us
The effort and response from the players was clear to see and That is all you want from the players21
