Roland on Talksport

Our hopes for club being sold remind me of Sisyphus in Hades having to rrepeatedly roll a boulder up a mountain only for it to roll back down as soon as he reached the summit.4

That is absolutely mental, fair play Simon Jordan. Never thought I'd say this but he has my respect over Murray

The thing with Dowie is that it really cost us due to us having to wait for him to start. That was when it all started to unravel for Murray and for the club as a whole.

RD is well and truly rattled which proves once again that the only way to get to him is to cause him embarrassment in Belgium. He does not give a fuck about matchday protests or anything done outside Belgium.
No idea if CARD or any other groups have anything planned, but i'd like to think that if they do have anything in the pipeline then it will be in Belgium.
Fair play to Simon Jordan too, thank god he was in the studio and not a clueless idiot like Danny Murphy who would've just tip-toed around RD and probably blamed us fans.11 -
Jodran took Dowie to court and successfully sued us as it was confirmed we got Dowie using underhand purposes.0
-
You could tell him was worrying he had lost Roland, kept trying to help him and bring it back to the vandalism but old Roland can’t be helped and went off on a weird rant blaming the efl2
-
Not sure why Jim White is getting such praise when was up Roland's a$$ the entire interview. Well done Simon Jordan.5

Wonder what the likes of Man City's owners or even Millwall's owners would have to say as there are foreign owners within the game that do know how to behave and am sure do have a good relationship with their fans0 -

Obviously no one foreign or not should be allowed to buy a Belgium football club after Roland was attacked in his own boardroom.0

Having listened to it again, something really doesn’t sit right with me.
Roland says numerous times about real estate and land, okay that’s what he is valuing the club to be, well apparently, but he also lets it slip saying along the lines of “part of it” as in he will give the club away for free + £20mil as part of the real estate and land, Roland keeps the rest.
I don’t think we are near the end and I think there is a lot more to it than we think, the value of the land and how much Roland is actually selling for and what percentage he is giving away, be it 100% or smaller.
I fear that he is now prepared to give the club away essentially as long as someone pays him £20mil for part of the assets such as the stadium and training ground. He will still own part of the assets to get his money back.
Of course, he has made himself look like a complete idiot with no common sense, everyone can see that, but I fear this fact that he is an idiot is also a reason as to why the sale hasn’t happened.5 -

The way he strolled up to The Valley on the Saturday, like the Messiah, after telling us we were sold, was simply nauseating! He knew damn well he'd court attention, and the only reason he was there was to milk the plaudits of the fans' who understandably believed his diatribe.
Any modicum of credibility that he possessed was gone, in an instant!!2 -

Roland - the worst PR for any club is failure. You have failed. You take responsibility. The finger is pointed at you. A club does not get relegated, sell its best players, insult the intelligence of its fans to point when they stop coming in their thousands because of a media team. A media team largely made up of Charlton fans I may add.
I am sick to my stomach with this. Just sell the club.1 -

I really want him to provide specifics of all the comms teams errors. I can’t really remember anything stupid/controversial being said apart from on video of the perps actually saying it or in an interview in the Belgian press which they’d then claim was badly translated. I’d assume neither of these type of events can be blamed on the comms team anyway. He should be pressed to back up his donkey eared nonsense, he’s always allowed to just get away with dopey bullcrap1

By far my favourite Roland quote from that interview:
"Leave me alone, huh?"3 -
About to play the @JimmyStone interview now1

Just popped on to club website and surprise, surprise, no mention of our beloved leader's car crash Talksport interview.

This is my fear. Roland will eventually sell the club to someone but the deal will be X amount of millions for part of the land that the club owns. The rest will be paid until Roland gets his money back or as much of it back as possible. I don’t think he is close to selling and I don’t think that he is going away any time soon because the man is a lunatic. And if this is the deal that ends up happening, we will have just as much of an idiot owning us for agreeing to such terms.
If five years of Roland and two years of apparently trying to sell the club hasn’t told us enough, now with the comments he has made live on TalkSport yesterday, I don’t know what will.
Vandalism or not, we need to make his life as uncomfortable as we possibly can. As NLA has said before, we do need people prepared to break the law, but in the main keep things legal, but extremely uncomfortable. He has made our lives hell with his obvious destruction of our club, we can’t have soft bellies or a lack of back bone with this. This is our future, our club and what happens between now and the end of Roland’s reign determines how much of a future we have and the quality of that future we have for our football club.13 -
I've just taken a call from a well known, oop north club chairman that I have got to know quite well, along with quite a few other prominent footy figures, through my job. Wish I could say who but will not however, this is the main bits from the call...
Fu*k me mate, I was driving with (two big names in the game) chatting away then gradually silence fell on the car.
Your owner came on the radio and we just sat there, staring at the radio in disbelief. Jaws dropped.
What an utter nob head.
Football knows about him, your issues with him etc but Jesus Christ, he is on another planet.
The man is deluded.
Never heard an interview like it in my life.
I know you have told me in the past what a tool he was, but by god, he defies belief.
There was more but that's the gist of the conversation with me just agreeing in between him slating Roland.
At the end I did say any chance you fancy buying a 'nice' club in south London?
To that I just heard howls of laughter from the other two guys in the car and that was that!!
