He has certainly stepped it up. The move to Brentford gave him the opportunity to play against better players, as has the move to Villa. Sometimes players just need to be tested all the time. We used him at Right Back and as a holding midfielder at times, to accommodate players like Pearce and Harry Lennon! Dean Smith played him in his correct position at Brentford and Villa and as a consequence Konsa has flourished. Obviously helps to have better players in his own team as well.
Think he’ll be back in England at somewhere like Southampton - not necessarily next season. If does well there, Liverpool have a history of nicking their best players

Obviously he's doing well.

Quite a few people have asked how Aribo is perceived by Rangers fans, a Rangers podcast that I listen to run a player ratings thing post match (has nothing on the great work we get from @lancashire lad of course!).
I noticed that Aribo’s summary from the St Mirren match on Saturday was more a bit of a summary of his season rather than a match rating per se so thought those of you that are curious might be interested:

One last thing on last nights match, and this is taking this thread waaaay off of the original topic but this is an incredible save from Allan McGregor. Because he holds onto the ball it looks less impressive but is actually more so. 39 years old too!
The local commentary team were glad to see the back of him in the end. Typical Joe really, anonymous in the first half, but at H-T Gerrard moved him and gave him a free role. Twice he got round the back of defenders and fed beautiful low balls across the box which just begged to be converted.

No deal. He moved out of contract and Bowyer flung his toys out the pram. I’ll never forget Bowyer saying it was a bad choice. Looks very silly now.

Of all the things Bowyer has done in his life that may look silly I think expressing his upset at one of his best players leaving for next to nothing to go play a handful of competitive games a season in a shite league is not one that will bother him unduly.
