My mate had a conversation with LB in crossbars after the game (others were present so apols if this has already been reported). LB wants seven in, thinks we are close to getting four and a fifth is in play but a bit iffy. The Taylor from Bristol City thing wasn’t denied. Clearly frustrated.
As mentioned by @cabbles I am certain we will stay up this season. We will get the bare minimum to keep us competitive. Bowyer and the boys will get 100% backing which should see us over the line.
There’s plenty of teams in our division, Birmingham, Reading etc who will hate playing in front of their own fans when we go 1-0 up against them and will make it a horrible environment for them.

Let's get a few in first, then we can all be a bit more bullish about it.
i doubt he will but it depends how long he can take people laughing at him because of Rolands fucking bollox budget. The frustration will build up and maybe a tilt point could happen
I don’t think he would walk, look what happened only this time last month and how everything went mental.
I do however, believe if he was to threaten Roland of walking, Roland would know the backlash would be so huge it might eventually get him to rethink and give that extra we need to be able to bring in the quality to compete.
I don’t think that’s going to happen though. Instead, somehow, Bow will continue to graft and will pull something out the bag before the deadline. Whether it’ll be enough, I’m really not sure, but I have faith in him and Gallen too.
No. He said we’d have 4/5 loans weeks ago and he also said they come in late in the window. So he knew we’d be in this position and with our budget I’m sure he also knew bringing in players would be difficult.
After watching today's game I think our season could depend on the quality of the loan signings definitely need some midfielders that are similar if not better than Bielik and Cullen and I think we also lack a bit of pace upfront
I can't see him walking. It's going to be a tough season but he knew that. No doubt at all how difficult it is signing players but again he knew the budget. He deserves better after what he helped achieve last season but unfortunately under our shit owner it's just never going to happen. It's making the best out of a bad situation until he pisses off.

We lack bodies up front. Pace would be nice but Taylor and Bonne are mobile enough for the champ. Villa had Ming's and konsa at centre back who cost over £30m between them. Doubt many championship centre backs will be as quick and strong.
Momentum is so huge for a club like ours. But from LB’s post match presser it sounds like history is repeating itself. When we went up from league one last time, Powell wasn’t backed in the transfer market but still got us to within 3pts of the playoffs. All on momentum. Now Bowyer has said this:
“There's some good players that have slipped through our fingers but that's the hard thing to accept because I do believe, if we really had a go, then I think we could do really well in this league.”
Looking at the free agent list, the only players who might be decent for us are Will Keane, Will Buckley, Josh Mcheeran, gary hooper, Tom Adeyemi, Jason Puncheon, Ben Marshall, danny williams, Youssouf Mulumbu, Marvin Emnes
The problem I have with it all (and I trust Steve Gallen to the hilt) is that I expect the list they drew up is now empty. All the players have probably spoken to us, heard what wd are willing to pay & have just turned their backs on us.
I'm not expecting anyone decent coming in & for us to be picking up the Josh Parker's of this world on transfer deadline day. Some of the names I have read on here lately (19 yr old from BHA, some striker no-ones heard of from.Arsenal (not neketiah)) is frightening. We need 2 or 3 experienced Championship players to add to the 2 or 3 kids we will be signing on loan.
And there's the problem.
You simply aren't going to find that many experienced championship players for 5k a week, unless they're old, out of contract, have a poor injury record, or all of the above.

These missed opportunities are agonising
Trouble is they’ll all expect more than the £8.50 an hour we’re offering.
