    I think the club have created this story to take the focus away from AD being sold for a poultry 2m and not being replaced. At least I hope that’s the case...

    If the bloke saying Taylor wasn’t at training/Bowyer was resigned to losing him is found to be bullshitting - which seems the case based on Red Henry’s latest post - that should be a ban in my opinion.

    If that’s true and not doubting you for one minute @Redhenry then it’s unbelievable way to run a football club. We have one striker on the books if Lyle were to leave, just signed and never having played league football. Two days before the close of the transfer window. The only conclusion now is asset stripping. 

    I think RD has twigged he’s not going to get his money back and will now sell anything to get a few quid and then sell the club for as much as he can once the silver is gone. 

    What other conclusion is there ?

    That doesn't make any sense. If he sells £5m of talent he's going to be offered £5m less by prospective buyers. Its a classic zero sum game.

    It's a transfer that makes no sense.

    He's not going to have resale value for Brentford

    Brentford can afford better strikers

    He won't be the focal point of the team like he is here

    We are short on strikers as it is

    We won't be investing the money back into the club or on a better player

    We won't get enough for him for it to make a difference to Roland's pockets

    Honestly wouldn't surprise me if Taylor signs new contract today or tomorrow to get the feel good factor back and crowd onside for Saturday (even though we sell AD)
