Just when I’d thought Bonne was properly out of his depth, after a few non existent performances, he turns that hummmmmdinger in . Two magnificent goals and an assist take a bow son , I mean that , take a bow .
Bristol City on the back of 3 straight defeats were there for the taking and at the 12th time of asking we got that much needed win . 7 points plus decent GD giving us some breathing space for now .
Defensively we are still all over the oche and 12 games without a clean sheet says it all .
brilliant win for us and Bowyer who will be able to get ten minutes kip at least tonight before he wakes up wondering about the ownership and injury list .
Anyone over 5 foot 10 and with a pair of boots needs to get in touch with the club, will get a place on the bench at least. The luck with injuries is quite surreal but a massive 3 points against a club I really wanted to beat.
We need a defender desperately, we just look like conceding so often. I’m confident our character will keep us up, but the takeover and January is going to be interesting!
Bonne was outstanding and after the last match where I wondered if there was any hope for him. Really impressed. Not easy finishes and a great assist.
To lose Gallagher and lose our lead with everything going against us and come back and win shows the fight and spirit in this team. They are unbelievable.
We should have a few coming back over the next few weeks which will help. I don't personally believe the takeover is going to get done in Jan so it's just about clinging on this season.
Stroud... How does he survive referee assessors? He should be reffing a pub league somewhere. Absolutely baffling. There was one point where DaSilva grabbed hold of Lockyer's face and wouldn't let go, so Stroud stops the game and gives Lockyer a talking to!
"Bonne was outstanding and after the last match where I wondered if there was any hope for him"
Very strong words. I like to look at the wider picture and number of goals plus learning and contribution, rather than be ready to throw him back in the non league bracket. We seem to have a few who think like that.

To be fair, I live abroad, and that's the first time I'd ever seen him play. So that was my only impression. But I see what he offers, now. Definitely a player, there.
That's what I was trying to tell you last week ! He just needed to strike up a rapport with Taylor and he would prove he's a championship striker. If anyone gives him less than 9 on the old score board they are clueless.
What a great result ! Added , added time shredded my nerves , but the team held out , and held their nerve Everybody played their part today. What fantastic spirit, COYR.
As others have said some players put an absolute shift in. I was very concerned when they went ahead as our heads seemed to drop and Brizzle had a few decent chances to put the game away, always felt we would win once the equaliser went in. A scrappy performance but definitely what was needed given that run, I'd like to see a lot less of the long ball but hopefully that will come once we get a fit/fitter squad and confidence returns.
Not sure I get the criticism for time added on, 4 goals, 3 subs and a couple of injuries, there was always going to be plenty of time to add.
I thought the ref had to stop play and give a drop ball if the ball hits him. Stroud did not stop play when the ball hits him on the edge of their penalty area in the first half.
That was some Christmas dinner the missus cooked yesterday! A huge team performance, superb from the fans and that's Boxing Day done! We continue...

Wow, just wow. Didn’t see that coming when we were 2-1. Their 19 changed the game when he came on but we stuck at it. MB made a nuisance of himself and got his just desserts. Hats off to Alfie Doughty for being in the right place at the right time for his first league goal in the red shirt. The lads ran themselves into the ground. I bet Albie is going to be sore tomorrow. Just need the takeover to go through, get some of the injured players back, bring in some fresh legs and go again. Only 10 points off the play offs. It’s a competitive league and anyone can beat anyone but we can do it ... In Bowyer and Jacko we trust. COYA
Don't think we played that we'll, City looking slicker, faster and more threatening but we were happy to go long to man of the match Bonne and Taylor. No problem with that as needs must.
Two good finishes from Bonne, especially the second. Good assist too.
Pleased for Lockyer giving it to the City fans after they gave it to him. Thought his was at fault for their first but would need to see it again.
"What's it all about, Alfie?"
Big weight off the mind of Bowyer and the team.
Just need to get through December and get some new players in, and a takeover, in January.

he does if it results in a goal, promising attack or change of possession; otherwise play on (I don't know what happened in the incident you mention)
Fantastic win, really pleased with that. Hard to single out MoM but I'd probably go for Bonne because he scored twice and made the third. Which felt good.
I’ve been critical of Matthews but he was very good today. Purrington was wobbly when he came on but got better, we definitely looked more vulnerable down that side though - not sure if that was because of Purrington or more to do with losing Gallagher’s energy. I certainly can’t accuse Purrington of hiding or sulking though, and he was denied a good goal scoring opportunity by a last ditch tackle so he did also get forward.
Too many fans still willing to throw in the towel at the first sign of adversity, confidence is low but some of you are absolute lightweights when it comes to times like these. 52% of the season gone and we are between 58% and 62% of the way to safety depending on whether you set the target at 50 points or 45 points. Despite everything we’re ahead of schedule and in good shape points wise. Teams with as much fight as this lot rarely go down either. I’m positive, even with our injuries, that there are at least three sides with less stomach for the fight and we can still play a bit. Keep the faith everyone, it’s going to be fine.
Fantastic result. Especially at Christmas. Worried now about Gallagher but we shall see. But didn’t we do well in his absence?Morgan and Doughty Are the new kids on the block and must start every game. Pratley Was once again fantastic and Bonne Became a lifesaver and hopefully his form will improve. So so pleased with the three points. Let’s see how we do with who we’ve got over the next few games.

How many times has he gone missing, how many chances has he actually missed
Think there are very occasions where either has happened
He's gone "missing" because he's not like Taylor who can create his own chances yet needs to be fed to be kept amongst the goals
