If Bowyer really thinks that Matt Smith offers more to Charlton's midfield than Albie Morgan, based on the hour or so we've seen from the pisstaking blond shirker, his head needs a wobble. Albie's not perfect but he definitely tries - Smith has just ripped the piss so far and if he's selected again this season we'll be in the deepest schtuck with nobody else to choose from. IF he's ever got involved he's just meekly fallen over and given the ball away IF Bowyer thinks DJ is worth anything more than a ferocious kick in the nuts then he needs to get his medication checked - DJ makes Matt Smith look like Jimmy Case! Massive amount of money burned on those two wankers - selecting either one makes a massive wanker of the manager.
It seems you can criticise the players all you like and even call them unprofessional and rubbish as many Bowyer supporters have done, but you can't do the same to him if you believe he is the problem.
There is a big difference between a number of well thought out posts and a vendetta, where we are now being presented with supposition as facts.

You're weird.
he is weird and does talk a load of bollox but i do like the phrase 'a ferocious kick in the nuts'
Speaking as someone who mostly agrees with you @MuttleyCAFC I've got to say you are very quickly coming across as borderline obsessive now and it's not at all a good look.
You're opinion is clear to all. We get it. But right now the only opinion and decision about the manager that matters is Sandgaard's.
So I am asking you, for your own good, to let it go. Just for a while.

What!?!? Smith came on a sub for five minutes and slipped twice on his second appearance (I think), but looked ok last time out.
Bowyer, rightly or wrongly (I think wrongly) doesn’t rate Morgan: ‘Asked about a possible move, Charlton manager Lee Bowyer said: “There’s been no interest in Albie – not in league football. He might end up going non-league after the window closes. There is no-one coming in for Albie.”
Appealing Chuks's red card is the work of the delusional. We all know CA didn't go looking to whack the seasider but he caught him bang on the jaw with a flying elbow - even without a shitforbrains egomaniac overweight bearded wankstain called Huxtable for referee, that's a red card all day long in every game. All that appealing against it is gonna achieve is adding a match or two to Chuks's suspension. I'm not sure 4 (5or6) games off for Chuks is all bad news. Rose tinted specs on: maybe, just maybe Chuks could dedicate the time to absolutely definitely getting himself y'know actually fit and strong enough to be a fulltime professional footballer, like he's been paid to be these last several years? No more of this pissing about "oh he can't play 2 games a week, we have to manage him carefully", pandering piss weak excuse making bullshit. He's nearly 28 FFS. He's supposed to be a professional athlete - chief occupational hazard, whatever the athletic pursuit, is always pain - suck it up or go do something you're better suited to.
I don't disagree with a lot of points you're making CE but think back to only two games ago, isn't the defensively solid formation how he set us up against Burton? We had seven defensive minded players in front of Amos and a front three of Millar, DJ & Stockley.
Burton still managed to score twice. Bowyer got slated for being too negative, worrying too much about what the opposition does and not thinking about what kind of problems we can cause them with our own players.
I disagree Callum. We had 2 wingers, 2 wing backs and a centre half attacking down the left wing.
I think it fair enough to have an opinion on what has happened.
If anyone agrees with the way Bowyer has been setting up the team, changing the amount of players every game, changing the tactics most games and then changing the players and the tactics at half time every game because it's not working, I'd love to hear why they think this is the correct thing to do as it's patently not working.
I don't think it fair to start criticising the guy for accepting a contract when he had 5 months left on his. What about when he said they weren't getting paid and he ensured everyone was paid before himself?
There's discussing facts and then there's cherry picking things from the past and presenting them as facts to try and besmirch someone unfairly.

This. It was an offensive system with too many defensive minded players in advanced positions. Purrington and Oshilaja crowded the space Millar should have been in.
But I think it is a good system, that had some teething problems. Probably was worth trying to iron out them out, not just discarding it.

I think we need straightforward easy to understand tactics at the moment. The players need something they know and are comfortable with.

Totally agree but it was a strange choice to play it on a Tuesday, for the 1st time, then drop it again for the next game. Despite Bowyer being crystal clear he didn't think the shape was the problem.
There is also a reason caretaker managers, especially in the lower leagues, always play either 422 or 433. KISS, as the saying goes.
But I only wanted him out when he started being ultra negative and digging out players. I was very positive towards him before that.
Quote button is your friend Mutts, hard to keep up with who you are responding to without the use of it.
Apologies. I don't think it is hard to work out the point I am making though whether you agree with it or not.
For what it's worth Muttley I agree with your thoughts on this whole sordid mess... LB needs to go or relegation is a strong possibility.
I've always found your postings to be very balanced so I'm a bit gobsmacked at some of the comments made towards you but this is what supporting Charlton is like... A big family who don't always agree with each other but the love of the club doesn't change!
I'm not bothered about it mate. I called this a few months back when we still had a chance of a winning season. The people trying to land the blows are the ostriches and it is usually the messenger these people aim at. It was the same with Southall. All good here, apart from one big fat wasted season that could unthinkably get worse.

The Gillingham 2-3 game was when I finally went from on the fence to bowyer out.
The Blackpool 0-3 I went from bowyer out to what the fuck is going on he’s lost the plot.
Is there anyone Bowyer hasn't criticised this season?
Amos
The amount of goals that Amos has conceded over the past few games is staggering. He must be getting dizzy from bending down picking the ball out of the net 2 or 3 times every game.
Why hasn’t Bowyer given Amos a rest? What does AMB have to do to get a game? Perhaps Amos is another of Bowyers favorites.

He's had another concussion. Hasn't been on the bench for a while.

Gotta laugh. I think this thread has lost the plot!
There is no defence for Bowyer's recent record. It is utter, utter shit. We would have arguably done better with no manager at all, or a random animal, like an okapi as a manager. At least it wouldn't slag the players off as it would just sit there eating the grass on the pitch during the post-match interview, which would have been less damaging to our on-field prospects. It is arguable whether it might outperform LB in the tactics department too by shitting on a grid and then using that to interpret who to play in which position. But he might already have tried this with a guinea pig or some-such when he played Smyth at right back, it seems. Not that it was his fault, of course.
The only argument for keeping him on is reciprocal loyalty, which is more important than us actually progressing as a football club to many on here, it seems. I just don't get it. I don't want my team to be shit, I want them to do well. At the moment we are a laughing stock. Bugger that.
Unfortunately, to some, it appears that he has carte blanche to really go for it. Let's see how bad things can get - go for it, Lee, there might be a couple of your squad that don't despise you yet; try for the full-house, you can do it!
....and the record for the worst finishing position ever is almost in your grasp! History awaits!
But I only wanted him out when he started being ultra negative and digging out players. I was very positive towards him before that.

I think that the Gillingham game was a tipping point for a lot of us but the Burton game was def the WTF moment for me, i'm afraid by the time we got to Blackpool I had resigned myself to the inevitable defeat, unlike me, i like to be positive but WTFF.

I think that Amos has been shocking over the past few weeks.
I know our defence is non existent, but Amos has not exactly covered himself in glory. His performance at Fleetwood last week was appalling. When your goalkeeper is this suspect he doesn’t give the defenders a lot of confidence. He needs a rest to restore his confidence.

Throwing in a 20-year old Harness isn’t going to help the situation though is it?
As an oft stated reason for keeping him on is loyalty, I have quoted the contract as a reason why I don't believe that is the case. I have said if you take loyalty out of it, you can't blame him for getting the best deal he could.
As for the speculation point, hasn't Airman done exactly the same by quoting Bowyer's salary? I am angry because I have believed he has been holding us back for a lot longer than some who have recently arrived at that view, and still he is here. And still he is blaming everybody else and playing strange tactics!
The same people who are getting a bee in their bonnet were the ones accusing J Block of lying, because the information he gave, direct from the dressing room didn't tie in what they wanted to hear.
Anyway, it is what it is. I accept that when he goes, some will be sorry it hasn't worked out but think sadly it is the best thing and some, including me will punch the air. I moved away from that point before them. That is the difference. Ultimately we all want what is best for the club and I believe that Bowyer is very bad for it at a time when we should be excitedly looking forwards.

If you are referring to me Muttley, I don't believe I accused J Block of lying, in fact on the balance of probability I believe him. Although I do recall asking him if the players saying Bowyer had lost the dressing room or similar, had left the club after Maddison, Bogle and Williams departed. As far as I know he never answered me.
