Will have to be the Saturday as we are playing on the Tuesday.
Don’t think this decision would have been taken if their were crowds in attendance IMO
Wouldn’t have been possible. Couldn’t have moved 32 games to different times considering thousands of people would have already bought train tickets etc.

Yeah agree with CAFC43v3r, we live in the country where the rail companies dont give a toss once they've got your money
Would have received a shrug and a, "well its not our fault" when anyone tried to get a refund

There are eight games being played on Tuesday so not sure those teams will want to play on Friday. Think they should move the Saturday games to Sunday and next Tuesdays games to Wednesday. When all teams are playing.
Would have made a lot more sense to have the funeral at 12 or 1pm surely?
This in spades.
One funeral which could be held at anytime on any day now trumps 30-odd football matches that has officials & associated ground staff all needing to change.
I'm not anti-royalist, far from it, but this all seems a bit much. No reason why the funeral couldnt be at 12 noon, or even on Sunday.
3pm Saturday had been the standard kick off time for league football for almost 100 years.
There are no spare midweeks to play them. If they are going to postpone then the only sensible option would be to do what they did last season & just move every game on a few days. So we play Ipswich on tuesday 20th, Crewe on the Sat 24th & finish with Hull on Tuesday the 11th.
I want to be careful in saying this, as I am also not anti royal and I respect Prince Phillip and his service to the Queen and this country. But, I think we have gone a bit too far putting blanket TV coverage on the main channels etc... Sometimes less is more and watching journalists talking for the sake of talking and repeat after repeat on what is being said is painful to watch. I'm sure some will want to watch it but it only needs to be on two channels.
There will be football supporters who wish to watch their team and the funeral but as Golfie says, 12pm or 1pm on Saturday would surely have been a better time.
