    I'm not going to go overboard but will be very disappointed if Stockley doesn't sign. Seems like he really enjoyed it and I think Adkins is keen so will be concerned if we lose out. Like I said, won't go overboard and write the season off over it but a bit of a bummer if he goes elsewhere.

    There was more transfer rumours when we were under a transfer embargo than there is now, hopefully that means we are just a much better run club nowadays

    If you mean WIOTOS its not an acronym it's an alphabetism...to be an acronym it has to also be a word like LASER - Light Amplification (by the) Stimulated Emission of Radiation.  Sorry - I used to work with someone who was very fond of pointing out this kind of shit...

    Back to work after a week off and the first conversation is with a Pompey fan who tells me that they and Donnie are after Stockley ( sorry, haven't waded through all previous comments)

    Or he’s keeping his cards close to his chest so we can’t be held to ransom by PNE/agents.

    I thought it was odd that Stockley made the comments he did just before the season ended. Definitely not what a savvy agent would’ve advised him to do.


    Completely made up numbers in my head but I say 80% chance he’s here by the first week of pre season. The 20% you can’t account for is whether another club comes in and pays way over the odds etc.

    I've had a look back when we made our signings in summer 2011. By this point we had signed one first team regular in Hollands, a squad player in Pritchard (but in reality came in with little or no expecations) and Sullivan as a back up goalkeeper.

    Late June/early July is when it really got moving.

    deal has been agreed but not signed ... Stockley went away on holiday expected to sign later this week .. but looks like his agent and PNE may have done the dirty on us .. hopefully Stockley will say deal is a deal but I understand from a cousin who lives in Pompey he has family in or close to that area ......

    Personally I not bothered either way with Stockley can see the benefits but can also see the way he makes us play .. I think we need a more mobile striker .... if he signs good but not a disaster if he don’t

    Yes agreed, hope Adkins builds a team we can become attached too again, obviously not being at games hasn’t helped, but sadly as I’ve said before I don’t have a favourite player I feel excited to go and watch. Which I find quite sad, over the years we’ve had some great characters/ players to call our favourites.
