Bit too much defensive responsibility on Rice’s shoulders IMO, especially in the big games. You have to have a Henderson or a Phillips alongside him.
It’s incredibly rare that Foden, Grealish and Sterling all start for Guardiola (when they have, they’ve been used as a front three but would England drop Harry Kane?) so I’m not surprised that we struggle to fit all three into the England side.
Yes there is an argument for getting your best players on the pitch but the team has to have balance or you get picked apart by the better opponents.
Ideal player that’s missing is Bellingham. Hopefully he’s ready to start at the World Cup. Really believe he’ll be the difference maker in the middle.
I suspect the weekend team and today's team were picked at the same time and injuries would have been the only thing to change that. I would be surprised it tonight's team were not aware they would be playing as they sat pitch side in Andorra. The only way that can be criticised is if we don't win comfortably tonight, but I suspect we will.
Pope Trippier - Stones - Coady - Shaw Rice - Henderson Sterling - Foden - Grealish Kane
EDIT Just seen we're
Pickford Walker - Stones - Mings - Chilwell Rice - Henderson Sterling - Mount - Grealish Kane
We play 433 so it'll be Mount and Hendo either side of Rice. Which explains why Mount is in there as its a completely different role to playing as a 10.
I know we have alot of talent, but if Foden isn't playing i am less looking forward too it. Sounds silly just Foden for me is that one player i love to watch, not just the weekend (i was out but watched it back the next day), also when he played against Liverpool the week before. Just love the way he plays, although we have so much talent in the England set up we can still do without him.
We'll win, but for me i'd have Foden over any of the supposed 3 Sterling/ Mount/Grealish, but all about opinions and still rate them all.

Copied from FotMob, who get their info from Who Scored I believe, anyway it appears it was wrong!
I expect 4-3-3 with Foden Rice Mount in the middle.
I'm sure that will work just fine against Hungary.
Oh I’m sure it will, I’d just like to see Foden playing in between the lines which should stop Kane coming so deep. Plus I always feel Mount is better when he’s forced into the game like playing CM rather than going missing further up the pitch.

(If the lineup is true)
Shame as I’d love to see him in a full strength 11 playing the same role. Could be even more lethal

Foden | Grealish | Mount | Sterling | Kane... thats surely a fans wet dream?

Bet Chris Powell will be pleased to see him, should bring back some happy memories
